A touching video shows President Trump as he stepped out of Marine One, the presidential helicopter, joined by his grandkids, who walked hand-in-hand with him as they left the heli in a sweet moment that rounded out the president’s trip to Scotland.
For background, on July 29, 2025, President Trump departed Scotland after a four-day trip, returning to the U.S. with his family, including grandchildren Chloe and Spencer. The trip was described by the press as “private,” and it included several rounds of golf and leisure time for the Trump family, along with a major meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney.
During the trip, President Trump spoke to the BBC about the deal he had made with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, saying, “I like your prime minister. He’s slightly more liberal than I am, as you probably heard – but he’s a good man. He got a trade deal done.” The president added, “You know, they’ve been working on this deal for 12 years, he got it done – that’s a good deal, it’s a good deal for the UK.”
Furthermore, while visiting Prestwick, Scotland, President Trump told reporters that the United Kingdom needs to “get your act together” when it comes to mass migration and “stop the windmills,” adding, “You fly over and you see these windmills all over the place, ruining your beautiful fields and valleys and killing your birds, and if they’re stuck in the ocean, ruining your oceans.”
Continuing, the president reiterated, “Stop the windmills,” before going on to discuss immigration. He added, “And also, I mean, there’s a couple of things I could say, but on immigration, you’d better get your act together or you’re not going to have Europe anymore.”
What’s more, President Trump also ripped into former President Joe Biden during the visit while touting his own administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration. He said, “Last month, we had nobody entering our country. Nobody. Shut it down. And we took out a lot of bad people that got there with Joe Biden.”
Building on his point, the president roasted Biden, calling him “a total stiff.” He added, “And what he allowed to happen…. but you’re allowing it to happen to your countries, and you’ve got to stop this horrible invasion that’s happening to Europe; many countries in Europe.” The president continued, “Some people, some leaders, have not let it happen, and they’re not getting the proper credit they should.”

Departing from Scotland on July 29, President Trump told the press that he was leaving for Washington to “put out fires all over the world.” He added, “We’ve stopped about five wars. That’s much more important than playing golf.” After he landed in Washington, D.C., he shared the sweet moment with his grandkids that ended with a fond wave as he stepped back into Marine One.
