An epic video that went viral online revealed President Trump’s new “Golf Force One,” a heavily armored golf cart, which appears to be a deterrent to assassination attempts like the one that took place at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach in September 2024, as well as the infamous incident in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July of the same year.
For background, a viral video posted in late July 2025 showcases a heavily-armored golf cart that has been unofficially named “Golf Force One,” a hefty beast that experts have said has a bulletproof windscreen, which is clearly intended to protect the president from attempts on his life.
When conservative commentator Collin Rugg posted a video of the golf cart online, commenters were impressed. The influencer MAZE wrote, “That thing looks awesome. Is it sound proof? I want one to drive around my yard and protect me from my wife and kids.” Another commenter added, “Now everyone’s gonna want one.”
Speaking to The Telegraph about “Golf Force One,” industry expert Gary Relf said that based on the vehicle’s windscreen alone, the golf cart appears to be heavily armored. Relf said, “When we armour a vehicle, we take every kind of technical element out, the roof, the seats, the floor, the carpet, and then we put the armouring in, and we replace it all afterwards, so you might never know.” He added, “But the thing that gives it away is the front windscreen.”
Moreover, Relf said that “Golf Force One” has the appearance of a classic armored car, saying, “The windscreen is a giveaway, as are the side panels, doors, and the large panel at the rear above the load tray.” Relf also said that the vehicle seemed to be “defensive, not offensive,” adding, “As far as armouring goes, the world is your oyster.”
Furthermore, the Secret Service also made a statement regarding the cart, telling the press few details: “The US Secret Service employs a variety of tools and resources to safeguard our protectees,” a spokesman said, adding, “In order to maintain operational security, the Secret Service does not discuss the specific means and methods used to conduct our protective operations.”
Importantly, “Golf Force One” appears to be a deterrent against incidents like the one that took place on September 15, 2024, at the president’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. That day, President Trump was targeted by Ryan Wesley Routh, a 59-year-old man who aimed a rifle through a shrubbery before being spotted by a Secret Service agent.

After Routh was apprehended by Martin County, he was indicted on September 24, 2024, by the Department of Justice. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said of the assassination attempt, “Violence targeting public officials endangers everything our country stands for, and the Department of Justice will use every available tool to hold Ryan Routh accountable for the attempted assassination of former President Trump charged in the indictment.” Routh reportedly later opted to represent himself in his trial, which began on July 25, 2025.
