In a massive reveal, resurfaced court documents from the Jeffrey Epstein trial have been found to include references to multiple high-profile Democrats, including former President Bill Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore, and the late New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, along with numerous other prominent figures, all of whom were described as either associates or affiliates of the serial predator.

For background, on January 4, 2024, Federal Judge Loretta Preska in Manhattan unsealed court documents from a 2015 civil lawsuit against the late financier and predator Jeffrey Epstein. The documents revealed links between Epstein and numerous key Democrat figures living and dead, including Clinton, Gore, and Richardson, all of whom have since denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.

Additionally, according to WPR, the court documents include references to President Donald Trump, along with disgraced actor Kevin Spacey, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, magician David Copperfield, and Prince Andrew. As the fervor surrounding Epstein’s revealed associations has grown, President Trump has directed reporters away from him and towards Clinton and others, telling the press, “You ought to be speaking about Larry Summers. You ought to be speaking about some of his friends that are hedge fund guys.” He added, “They’re all over the place. You ought to be speaking about Bill Clinton.”

Furthermore, while Bill Clinton’s ties to Epstein have long been cause for speculation, press accounts confirmed on July 24, 2025, that Clinton had written a birthday message that was featured in a leather-bound album presented as a special gift to the infamous predator. According to the Wall Street Journal, which obtained Clinton’s message, it was written in his “distinctive scrawl.”

According to the Journal, the note from Clinton to Epstein read: “It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.”

Notably, the birthday book also reportedly included notes from prominent business magnates such as Microsoft Executive Natan Myhrvold and Wall Street billionaire Leon Black. According to the Journal, Black included a handwritten poem that read: “Blonde, Red or Brunette, spread out geographically / With this net of fish, Jeff’s now ‘The Old Man and The Sea.'” The note was signed: “Love and kisses, Leon.”

In addition, the court documents mentioned former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, a Democrat who passed away in 2023. One of Epstein’s alleged victims, the late Virginia Giuffre, claimed that she was sent to New Mexico by Epstein’s partner, Ghislane Maxwell, to give a “massage” to Richardson.

In response to the allegation against Richardson, political expert Brian Sanderoff said, “Bill Richardson was one of our most prominent politicians here in New Mexico,” adding, “And so, it was disappointing to see that his name has been associated with the Jeff Epstein scandal.” Sanderoff later said, “It’s a sad day for New Mexico as a result (of this),” adding, “Although Bill Richardson, I suspect if he were alive, would deny the truthfulness of that.”
