The Trump White House issued an epic rebuke of the woke mayor of Boston after she compared ICE agents to neo-Nazis, going on to showcase a list of degenerate illegal immigrant criminals who were apprehended by ICE in Boston after they committed atrocious crimes against children.
For context, on June 5, 2025, the White House pushed back against what it described as “dangerous, unhinged smears from the left” against ICE personnel, which a White House spokesperson claimed had led to a 413% increase in assaults on ICE agents. Moreover, the White House doubled down on Boston Mayor Michelle Wu after she made statements comparing ICE agents to to neo-Nazis during a press conference.
In a public statement issued online, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson weighed in on the negative impact of the uptick in negative comments about ICE personnel, saying, “Because of dangerous, unhinged smears from the Left, ICE officers are facing a 413% increase in assaults.” This statistic was later backed up by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on June 7, 2025, with a statement from the agency confirming that “ICE enforcement officers are facing a 413% increase in assaults against them.”
Continuing, Jackson said that the president “is keeping his promise to the American people” to deport illegal immigrant criminals, adding, “It’s disturbing that Democrats like Mayor Wu would side with illegal immigrants over Americans and stoke hatred against American law enforcement.”
Moreover, the White House decried Mayor Wu for her “disgusting, dangerous attacks” on ICE agents, saying that the mayor had “compared Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to neo-Nazis.” The statement went on to reference previous comments made by Mayor Wu in which she “smeared ICE and other federal agents as ‘secret police.’”
Building on its argument against Mayor Wu and her woke ideology, the White House’s Rapid Response 47 X account shared a clip of Mayor Wu speaking to the press, saying, “I don’t know of any police department that routinely wears masks. We know that there are other groups that routinely wear masks. NSC-131 routinely wears masks.”
In response to Mayor Wu’s comments, a reporter asked her to “clarify,” saying, “Are you comparing ICE to NSC-131, a neo-Nazi group? Are you comparing them to a neo-Nazi group?” Attempting to walk back her previous statement, the mayor replied, “What I said is that Boston Police, and no police department I know of at the local level, routinely wear masks.”

Adding to the case against Mayor Wu, the White House shared a list of dangerous illegal immigrants who were apprehended in Massachusetts, saying that the mayor was “denigrating the same agents who just removed nearly 1,500 criminal illegal immigrants from the streets of her state in the largest-ever immigration enforcement operation.”
