WATCH: Judge Boasberg Gets Exposed as Senator Shows “Statistical Impossibility” in His “Rigged” Cases against Trump

In a searing critique of one of the most vociferous opponents of President Trump, a Republican senator ripped into woke activist Judge James Boasberg during a hearing, making it abundantly clear that the federal judge has been assigned to an unreasonable amount of cases involving President Trump and using examples from his own career as an attorney general to support his argument.

For context, on June 3, 2025, Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) made it clear that it is not a coincidence that has perpetuated Judge James Boasberg’s assignment to cases related to President Trump. Instead, Sen. Scmitt argued, the system is “rigged” against President Trump, with woke activist judges like Boasberg being assigned to cases by those who share an ideological bias against the Trump Administration.

In a post on X on June 3, Sen. Schmitt wrote, “Judge James Boasberg has somehow been assigned FOUR major Trump cases.” He added, “A statistical impossibility. That isn’t ‘random.’ It’s rigged.” In response, conservatives weighed in in the comments section, with an X user who goes by rowdyamerican writing, “When ‘random’ starts looking like a pattern, it’s time to question the system. Rigged indeed.”

In addition, Sen. Schmitt chaired a Senate Judiciary Hearing on the same day that focused on district court judges like Boasberg “overstepping their Constitutional authority to obstruct President Trump’s agenda and their abuse of the random judicial case selection process,” per the senator’s website. During his opening remarks at the hearing, Sen. Schmitt said that in the month of March alone, Judge Boasberg had “found himself into (sic) four major Trump cases, a statistical impossibility.” He added, “Boasberg took over the Alien Enemies Act and ordered planes to be turned around in the dead of night, despite not being the emergency judge on duty that night.”

Continuing, Sen. Schmitt made the case that based on Judge Boasberg’s involvement in so many cases related to President Trump, “It seems clear that, as Chief Judge, he wants to be able to grab cases for himself.” The senator went on to explain that he had “had firsthand experience with this non-random case assignment in our federal appellate court system.”

Next, the senator explained how while he was serving as Missouri’s attorney general, he often found himself “litigating in the Eighth Circuit, a circuit of unique makeup; of the 11 judges in the circuit, 10 have been appointed by Republicans.” He continued, “Yet, the one Democrat appointee, Judge Jane Kelly, found herself hearing nearly every political, sensitive case in the circuit.”

Building on his point, Sen. Schmitt said that in Missouri’s Eighth Circuit, “Time after time, case after case, miracle after miracle, for the Democrats, Judge Kelly would be there for nearly every politically sensitive case.” Sen. Schmitt argued that Judge Kelly’s assignment to these cases “was not due to the good luck of Judge Kelly” because “the circuit clerk’s office, which assigned cases to appellate panels, was filled with her fellow clerks and ideological compatriots. In practice, they set the nationwide policy by rigging case assignment.”

Driving the point home, Sen. Schmitt said, “I don’t think anybody has a problem on this side of the aisle with a ref calling balls and strikes or calling a foul. The problem is, what if the ref’s daughter hired the coach?” He added, “What if the ref has money on the game. What if people start to question the legitimacy of the ref in the game?”
