In another major victory for Americans, Lee Zeldin and DOGE reportedly discovered and recovered billions of dollars that had allegedly been “misplaced” by the Biden Administration, leading conservatives to rejoice online and decry Biden and the rest of the left for their corruption and waste.

For context, during an interview on Fox News on February 21, 2025, EPA Director Lee Zeldin explained that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was working to root out waste within the Environmental Protection Agency, and that their efforts had led to. In the interview, Director Zeldin displayed his commitment to integrity and saving Americans money, describing how he made it a top priority to find and restore funding that had been allegedly laundered by a Biden EPA appointee.

During the interview, Director Zeldin began by providing background on the impetus of his investigation into fraud within the EPA. He told the host, ” It was a couple months ago. There was this video that came out of a Biden EPA political appointee talking about how they were tossing gold bars off the Titanic. Says it multiple times in the video, rushing to get billions of dollars out the door before Inauguration Day.”

Continuing, Director Zeldin explained that “members of Congress are really concerned about that” in reference to the EPA appointee’s statements, going on to say, “so as I’m going through the confirmation process, they said, If confirmed, will you commit to making this a top priority to find those gold bars came in. I was just confirmed a couple weeks ago. We found them.”

Moving on, Director Zeldin clarified that the money had been sent to a specific bank, explaining, “$20 billion was there, and a little oversight, eight entities would be receiving all $20 billion, and they would be distributing all of these funds without EPA knowing everything that we need to do our job, to provide accountability to Congress, the media, to the public.”

Next, Director Zeldin added that EPA money had been used to provide “a $50 million grant to a climate justice group, and a quote from their motto is, ‘we believe climate justice runs through a free Palestine. And we cancelled it.” He added, “There was $160 million [from the EPA] that went to a Canadian electric vehicle bus manufacturer.”

Adding on to the saga of the Biden-run EPA’s corruption, Director Zeldin said, “The Biden administration sent all of the money. Now you might say, ‘Hey, produce the school bus, and then we’ll pay you, or if you need some partial payments along the way, we’ll give some money.’ That makes sense. They give all the money up front.” He then said, “Well, guess what? They just declared bankruptcy. They still haven’t provided $95 million worth of school buses to 55 school districts. It’s the American taxpayer that gets screwed.”

Concluding the interview, Director Zeldin confirmed that the EPA was at work on “The Great American Comeback Initiative,” which Zeldin explained was “about making sure that Americans have access to clean air, land, water, a top priority of President Trump. It’s a top priority at EPA, there’s a lot that we are doing exceptionally.”
