President-elect Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai recently shared a heartwarming message, emphasizing that she seeks to be “just like him” as she grows into adulthood. The 17-year-old first granddaughter praised Trump for his unmatched work ethic and perseverance in the face of adversity. Kai expressed that she is excited to see what the future holds as her grandfather prepares to return to the White House.
She began her video statement, “He doesn’t take any breaks, doesn’t do anything, really decide to work. And it’s just, like, truly motivating to see that every single day and have that as a role model. Because when I grew up, I want to just be like him and just fight like him, and don’t take any days off, and just keep on working, work my butt off, just like how he does. And it’s just truly incredible.”
Speaking about the monumental victory in the election, she said, “And the election night was really, like, special for our whole family, because it really just we fought to the very end, and yes, it’s his last time running. So, so special for him to win, because he really deserves this.” Kai maintained that after everything Trump has endured over the past several years, the victory is nothing short of amazing. “And after everyone, like, what everyone has put him through, it made me tear up, like, after him winning Pennsylvania, like, I just started, like, tearing up, knowing that he made it, and he finally just fought back and he won,” she said.
“He won the race, and I’m really excited to see what he’s gonna do for the next few years,” expressing anticipation for Trump’s second term. “I think he’s gonna kill it.” Kai noted Trump’s impressive work ethic, leaving everything on the table. “Every single thing he does. He puts 100% of his effort into it, and I think he’s gonna do an amazing job, and he deserves this more than anyone in the whole world. And he’s gonna kill it and make America great again. And he’s really gonna do what’s right for the people.”
Kai pointed out that Trump could have easily stepped out of politics after his first presidency and relegated himself to playing golf on his many properties and estates in the remaining years of his life. However, he chose to stand for something greater, fighting to make America great again. “He doesn’t need this job. He doesn’t need it at all. He can just play golf for the rest of his life and just live in Mar a Lago, but he wants to fight for this country, and he has a vision, and he’s going to follow through on that vision do an amazing job, and he wants best for this country,” she concluded.
The American Tribune also reported on comments from Kai, shedding light on what it’s like to be the granddaughter of Trump. “Yesterday I was I was going through my my voicemails. I saw a few voicemails for my grandpa, because if I call him, he always picks up, but if he doesn’t, if he’s like, in an interview or whatever, he’ll call me back. And it’s always at like, 12 o’clock at night, and also sleeping at 12,” she said.
Continuing, she added, “And I was looking back at, like, the voicemails that I got from him. And so it’s like, Hi Kai, how’s your golf game, or it’s your favorite president, how’s your golf game, or how are you doing, or how school, or what’s a sweetie is so nice. Like, I look, I went through all that yesterday and, like, it’s like, warm my heart. I don’t know. I felt bad that never picked up this boy on his golf but it’s okay. I always call him back. But like, in the morning.”
