In yet another one of Hollywood’s embarrassing meltdowns over former President Donald Trump, reports emerged that woke actor Rob Reiner was screaming at the television during the Trump-Biden debate as actress Jane Fonda wept. Now, Reiner has doubled down on the nonsense and is pushing the message that this will be America’s last Independence Day if Trump is re-elected.
Such is what Reiner said in an absolutely wild post on X (formerly Twitter), writing, in a post on July 4th, that Trump, whom he incorrectly referred to as a “convicted felon” (one isn’t a convicted felon until sentenced), would make July 4, 2024, America’s last Independence Day. He said, “If the Convicted Felon becomes President, this will be the last Independence Day that we will be independent.”
Predictably, the commenters on the post tore into Reiner with a vengeance. One commenter, for example, said, “NOT a convicted felon dipshidiot. And not only hasn’t he been sentenced yet, it’s looking more and more like he never will be sentenced, and, in fact, a mistrial will be declared by Judge Merchan. Go ahead, let it all out! 😭”
Another wrote that America was doing far better under former President Trump than it is under President Biden, saying, “Oh shut yo a** up bro. He was already president and America was doing well…before China ushered in Covid. You’re so tribal that your identity is connected to your politics which explains this ridiculous tweet. You’re why the country is so divided.”
Chiming in, another account joked that Trump would not just be getting rid of Independence Day but would be renaming all the months after white supremacists, saying, “You underestimate how serious this is. It won’t just be the last Independence Day, it will be the last July. Trump will rename all the months after famous white supremacists!!!”
Also joining in, another commenter contrasted Trump with the current regime, saying that Trump didn’t persecute his political opponents. He said, “Do you know something that we don’t know comrade Rob? Trump doesn’t have his political opponents arrested, it’s beneath him. Only the babbling cadaver and his communist regime does this.”
This wasn’t the first time Reiner chimed in on politics recently. In a post-debate post, he also said, “Last night’s debate was a disaster for President Biden. But the choice is still crystal clear: We either can choose a good decent man who cares about his fellow citizens and knows how to govern, or a Convicted Felon who will destroy our Democracy. Not a tough choice.”
In still another post on X about Trump and his associates, Reiner said, “Manafort/Jailed, Navarro/Jailed, Weissleberg/Jailed, Cohen/Jailed, Bannon/Jailed, Giuliani/Disbarred. All at the behest of a Convicted Felon. A Convicted Felon who is the leading candidate to become President of the United States. What the actual Fuck!”
