A recent Biden moment has sent social media into an uproar after another incident that seemingly highlights Biden’s advanced age. After delivering remarks at the Global Fund’s Seventh Replenishment conference, the 81-year-old president appeared lost while navigating offstage.
Footage of the incident shows Biden leaving the podium, where he stops, looking confused. He appears to ask someone in the audience what he was supposed to do next. After a speaker at the event announces, “Mr. President, thank you,” Biden spins around as if he is surprised. The president then proceeds to stand around the edge of the stage before finally walking away as the camera operator pans around as if they are unsure of what to film.
In the aftermath of Biden’s bizarre conduct, conservatives on social media have further added to the conversation about whether he is fit to serve as President of the United States. While this video isn’t entirely surprising, as Biden’s presidency has been filled with gaffes and public slip-ups, it has implications for the upcoming presidential election.
For example, conservative commentator Nick Sortor asked, “WHY WON’T BIDEN TAKE A COGNITIVE TEST? Sortor continued, “He literally got LOST trying to find his way off stage for over 30 seconds here. Clearly has NO CLUE where he is.”
Biden, who will be 82 on Inauguration Day, is already the oldest sitting president in the nation’s history and would be 86 by the time he concludes a second term. Polling from earlier this year from ABC News and Ipsos discovered that 86% of Americans believe President Biden is too old to serve another term in office. Therefore, Biden’s age could play a decisive role in the upcoming election.
The American Tribune reported on a concerning report from a former White House doctor under the Obama administration and current GOP congressman, Ronny Jackson, who sounded the alarm on the state of Biden’s mental health. According to Jackson, it is a “national security issue” for Biden to serve as President.
He said, “The article’s just documenting what I’ve been saying all along: he’s not fit to be the commander-in-chief.” Jackson added, “He’s got significant issues, he shouldn’t have the job. You know, it’s a national security issue for us.”
