According to recent reports, there are now more voters who claim they will “never Biden’s” than “never Trumpers.” As the Biden campaign is embroiled in troubling issues ahead of the November election, it now faces polling data that shows swing state voters indicating they will not vote for Biden under any circumstances.
Data suggests that among likely voters in six key swing states, 51 percent claim there is “not really any chance” they would vote for Biden. Simultaneously, the polls suggest that there are only 46 percent who say the same thing about former president Donald Trump.
Furthermore, these findings don’t appear to be anomalous results from isolated polling, either. Three other polls between last fall and April indicate that the number of “never Biden’s” is outpacing the “never Trump” crowd. Looking back at voter data from the 2020 election, there were consistently higher numbers of voters who would not consider voting for Trump, signifying a major shift in voter sentiment ahead of November.
Moreover, other data pertaining to Biden’s presidency has dire implications for his reelection prospects. As of last week, Biden’s approval rating sat at just 38.7 percent. This entails that he is the least popular president at this point in his term than any other president since Harry Truman. Alongside this data, polls show that Trump is leading Biden in many of the critical swing states.
The American Tribune reported on a recent CNN segment highlighting the extent to which Biden is falling behind Trump in most battleground states. According to the left-leaning network, the Biden campaign is looking at an “absolute disaster” with the current ratings.
CNN senior data reporter Harry Enten sounded the alarm, stating, “Frankly, for the Joe Biden campaign. These numbers are an absolute disaster. The smallest lead is in Arizona for Donald Trump, he’s up six. Look at this, 9 in Georgia. 13 in Nevada, my goodness gracious, My God. That is a huge lead. No Democrat has lost that state since John Kerry lost it back in 2004.”
However, Biden appears to be closer to Trump in the Great Lakes battleground states, even leading in Michigan. He continued, “How about these Great Lakes battleground states? This is something that the Joe Biden campaign can work with look, Pennsylvania, Donald Trump up three but that’s well within the margin of error. Wisconsin, Donald Trump up one well within the margin of error, and actually a Joe Biden lead well within the margin of error. A point here this they can work with the Joe Biden campaign.”
The data reporter highlighted that the Trump campaign has to be pleased with the polling results. “This the Donald campaign, Donald Trump campaign, absolutely loves and it looks like a lot of the other polling other Sunbelt battleground as well,” he added. “It’s advantage Donald Trump, but he’s not over the 270 mark just yet….So it’s advantage Donald Trump but Joe Biden does at this point have a path to 270.”
According to the available polling data, Biden undoubtedly faces significant challenges in the upcoming election. Voters he may have counted on in 2020 could reconsider how they cast their ballot later this year in November.
