Conservative actress Gina Carano recently sounded off on former CNN host Chris Cuomo in a lengthy X post. Cuomo, among many others, relentlessly previously shamed Carano over her stances stances during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over the past several years, Carano has taken popular conservative positions on the widely used drug Ivermectin and vaccines while simultaneously voicing her skepticism about the mainstream media’s narrative. The actress’ was a response to a recent podcast appearance from Cuomo, where he explained that he was now “taking a regular dose of Ivermectin” to combat the impact of “Long COVID.”
Cuomo conceded that he was wrong on his former stance toward Ivermectin, noting that it was considered the “boogeyman” during the pandemic. The former CNN host claimed he was given “bad information” on the drug, adding that Joe Rogan, who was a major proponent of Ivermectin, was ultimately correct.
Carano wrote, “It does matter that @joerogan was raising questions and took the heat, trending every other day, being mocked by people like you and the organization you worked for. He was threatened and pressured by the higher ups and mob to be cancelled, it could have cost him everything. He was doing the job you should have been doing.”
She continued slamming him for “ignoring” input from the medical community.“You were just given wrong information right, ignoring and supporting the censorship of part of the legitimate medical community who were pushing back? You say people were just resisting the government OR, had they seen and been vaccine injured and were asking legitimate questions, critically thinking like @RobertKennedyJr has been doing for years,” the actress stated.
Carano reminded Cuomo that, during the pandemic, he was a part of the media apparatus that “bullied and shamed” those who differed from its narrative. Carano explained that the media should theoretically provide impartial news coverage, but what occurred several years ago could not be further from that ideal.
“You were a part of one the most powerful news organizations in the world and you bullied and shamed the genuine questions from the public that you were supposed to be offering unbiased news to. Instead, you all called them “anti vaxxers” and “alt right extremists”. Don’t try and change the story now,” her post went on to say.
Carano drew attention to some of the consequences of the media’s “propaganda,” such as separating loved ones during dire times. She claimed this period will go down as one of the most “destructive” moments in media history.
“Show some humility. People weren’t allowed to sit next to their loved ones as they died because of the propaganda you spread! This phase in major news media history will go down as one of the most embarrassing, destructive moments that cost people’s lives and careers, broke up families and destroyed our economy. You don’t look like a hero now, you look arrogant with no idea how deep this goes for the people this destroyed. The message below from @ChrisCuomo instagrams direct message to me Feb 11, 2021. I was fired, shamed and cancelled Feb 10, 2021. Question. Gina Carano here, would you like a chance to clarify where your head and heart are before you get defined permanently by others,” the actress concluded.
