In a hilarious Twitter exchange, online conservatives shut down Former Vice President Mike Pence after he tried to attack President Trump on his economic record. The comments under his bitter post were filled with other online commentators making fun of the RINO for his weak attempt at an attack.
For context, although Mike Pence ran alongside Trump during the 2016 election, he stabbed Trump in the back after the controversial 2020 election. Since then, Pence has taken to attacking President Trump constantly, leading many to label him “Judas Pence” for his betrayal.
Such was shown when the former VP took to X, formerly Twitter, on April 3, 2025, to air his grievances. He posted, “69% of Americans in this @FoxNews Poll are Right. Tariffs on imports will make products you buy more expensive.”
Linked in his post was an article from Advancing American Freedom, which featured classic America Last economic arguments. The document read, “Shouldn’t we be concerned about the trade deficit?
Since 1994, our exports tripled—while imports grew nearly 400% (see Figure 4). This “trade deficit” isn’t economically dangerous. In fact, it’s been an economic boon.”
Repeating tired liberal lies about the economy, the article continued, “Our dollars flow back to us—either by purchasing our exports, buying our debt (holding down interest rates), or investing in our companies. For instance, the value of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the U.S. grew by more than $6.4 trillion since 1994—including more than $300 billion this past year.”
In the comments under his post, users took Pence to task with a series of humorous jibes. One fact check read, “Hello Vice President Pence, You suddenly seem deeply concerned about tariffs. Curious; where was this passion during your four years as Vice President? Did you know the U.S. has had extensive tariffs for decades?”
Blasting the traitorous politician, another user condemned his vile post. The commenter said, “No one cares Judas Pence. That’s the point. It’s short term pain for long term gain. Your economic theory failed to keep us the dominant force so we’re doing something else.”

Continuing the barrage of criticism, one user joked that Pence should be in prison, saying, “Very nice. Now let’s see the polling on whether Fox News viewers believe you should be in prison.” Responding to the previous comment, another user asked, “I wonder if he truly believes that destroying his political career and legacy was worth it.”
Rounding out the comments, another user attacked his argument directly. The response read, “Would you rather have a job that pays $65k/yr and buy your tshirts for $20? Or make $0/yr and still have to buy tshirts that cost $17 because the auto plant you used to work at moved to Mexico. Anything times zero is still zero. These free trade morons can’t math.” Building on this point, another user said, “I’m done listening to… beta males who worship the GDP and “muh free markets.” We gave away the farm on our industrial base, and we will go extinct as a civilization if we don’t do something to reverse course.”
