Speaking to a gaggle of reporters on July 2, Trump Administration Border Czar Tom Homan went nuclear on illegal immigrants and warned that everyone in the country illegally should be living in fear of him, as he and the hardworking agents at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are coming for them.
As background, Mr. Homan has become known for his very tough on illegal immigration approach, even having gone as far to say (much to MAGA’s delight) that those families composed of some illegal immigrant members can avoid being split up by all self-deporting from America together. As could be expected, he has many awesome soundbites.
Such happened when he spoke to reporters outside the White House on July 2, with his epic and witty response precipitated by a reporter saying that there is “widespread fear” among illegal immigrants that they might be deported. Homan, responding, said, “if you’re in the country legally, sure you should be concerned.”
Continuing, he added that while all those who are here illegally ought to be worried, those who are national security threats ought be even more worried, as they’re high up on the targeting list. He said, “It’s not okay to be in the country legally. If you’re if you’re a national security threat, you should be working. We’re looking for you.”
As could be expected, conservative posters on X loved Homan’s comments and quickly took to praising him for his unapologetic stance both with the media and illegal immigrants themselves. Nick Sortor, for instance, posted the clip and wrote, “🚨 JUST IN: Tom Homan drops the mic when a reporter said ‘there is widespread fear’”

Defending Florida’s Alligator Alcatraz detention center shortly before those comments, Mr. Homan noted that the “due process” for illegal alien invaders of America that the left and its courtroom lackeys care so much about will be present there. He began, “This facility is going to give exactly what the left has been screaming about; due process, due process, due process.”
Continuing, he noted that the detention center will have plenty of immigration judges present who can hear the case of the detained illegal aliens who are about to be deported from the center, without requiring the illegals to be released on probation or otherwise turned out of the facility. He said, “Guess where due process happens? At this facility because there’s going to be immigration judges there to hear their case and take their pleas.”
He then added that Alligator Alcatraz is meant to be the last place they stop before being booted out of the country for good, sent home on a deportation plane. He said, on that point, “This is going to be their last stop. When they leave here, they’ll be on deportation plane for their homeland.” Watch him here:
