Senator Jim Blanks (R-IN) demolished a woke bureaucrat who DOGE fired, after the former government worker tried to ambush him while walking into an elevator. The senator was minding his own business before the angry HHS staffer accosted him while shouting hostile questions.
For context, on April 1, 2025, thousands of HHS staffers were fired due to a significant restructuring scheme that affected other agencies, including DA, NIH, and CDC. This move was part of a broader move to reduce the federal workforce from 82,000 to 62,000 full-time employees, with roughly 10,000 workers being let go and another 10,000 taking early retirements.
In any case, the newly unemployed federal lackey chased Senator Blanks down a hallway while shouting. During his rant, he can be heard saying, “I was a worker at HHS. I was illegally fired.” Unexpectedly, Blanks fired back with an epic takedown.
Responding quickly, the senator used his punishing wit to put the bureaucrat back on his heels. The Republican replied, “You probably deserved it.” The sharp response took the protester off guard, and it took him several seconds to formulate a response.
The disgruntled liberal eventually choked out a retort. He theatrically responded, “I deserved it? Wow. Why did I deserve it?” For a moment, the smug HHS worker seemed to have won as the Senator hurried into an elevator.
However, just as the doors began to close, the Indiana Senator delivered a devastating final blow. While smiling at the camera, he said, “Because you seem like a clown.” The protester was obviously utterly stumped as he had nothing else to say in response.

Conservatives took to social media to laugh at the hilarious situation. In the comments under the video, users congratulated the Republican senator on his sharp responses.
