Dana White doesn’t care what people think. The UFC head runs a $12 billion dollar worldwide business in the UFC that just happens to be one of the biggest sports that doesn’t use a funny, pointed ball. Many in his position would be extra careful always to say the right thing, hang out with the right people, and project the right image. Not Dana White.
Part of the UFC’s success and popularity is Dana White. Sure, people love to see grown men and women beat the crap out of each other; it’s just human nature. However, there is a reason professional boxing is an afterthought in the sports world and a sport like UFC is on top. White is a big part of that reason.
The UFC head isn’t afraid to speak his mind, support causes he finds important and stick beside his friends, even when it might not be good for business. One example is Donald Trump. White and Trump are friends, and when many of the former president’s friends have disavowed him for fear of being canceled, White has doubled down.
UFC 290 took place on July 8th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and with Kid Rock’s “Devil Without a Cause” blaring over the loudspeaker, President Trump entered the arena as the fans collectively lost their minds. As Trump pointed and waved and high five walking to his seat, fans could be heard roaring and exclaiming disbelief in the Tweet below.

White also took a shot at the media in the post-event presser. When a reporter attempted to create controversy surrounding an upcoming fight between a black competitor and his white opponent because of “racial undertones,” White responded in the fashion that only Dana White could. The exchange can be seen in the Tweet below.

So, what does White do for an encore? He posts a viral video clip talking about the powerful new Jim Caviezel movie “The Sound of Freedom.” White was so moved by the surprise hit that is sending Hollywood and the mainstream media into a tizzy that he felt compelled to make a video talking about it.
In the video, White offers free tickets to any of his 2000 employees that want to see the movie and even encourages other CEOs to do the same. White even has a message from a huge Hollywood legend in the clip, encouraging people to go to the theater and see the movie.

The film is a powerful true story about a Homeland Security officer named Jim Ballard that quit his job to rescue kidnapped children from human traffickers. The mainstream media has bashed the film as being ‘paranoid’ and unrealistic despite the fact that it is based on true events.
Despite the hate the film has received from leftist critics, it dusted the new Indiana Jones movie on July 4th while only being in roughly half of the theaters. The film is still drawing huge crowds, and its momentum is only growing.
Considering the influence Dana White has, his endorsement of the movie will likely drive more people to see it and give more attention to its important message, much to the chagrin of Hollywood and the fake news media.
Dana White has proven once again that you don’t have to be afraid of cancellation. Yes, he has limitless money, but if you don’t let people cancel your beliefs and ideals, then you can be free of cancel culture.
