In a fiery House Homeland Security hearing that came on December 11, 2025, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem lambasted Democrats for defending undocumented immigrants and attacking ICE officers, declaring America a “nation of laws” and urging critics to change legislation rather than “bellyache” or protest violently.
Refusing to back down, she vowed firings and highlighted enforcement successes amid chaos, including violent protests. Speaking on social media later, she condemned sanctuary policies, bounties on agents, and assaults on law enforcement as anarchy, pledging full prosecutions and Trump-backed crackdowns to prioritize American safety over “moral superiority.”
Starting off her confident rebuke, Kristi Noem said, “I think it’s shameful to see the defense of individuals who break our laws. We are a nation of laws. If we are not a nation of laws, we’re no nation at all, and that is what we are doing every day. Is following us. If you guys don’t like the law, go change it. That’s your job. You don’t complain
Still not done, she hammered away at the Democrats. “I was raised by a dad who said we don’t complain about things. We fix them. Well, go fix them. If you don’t like the law, quit bellyaching. Quit hitting and attacking our ICE officers. Quit going out and protesting and screaming vile things at them,” the DHS head declared.
Concluding her confident remarks, Noem said, “Quit calling them names. We wouldn’t let our children do that. Go do something that actually matters by having an honest debate and changing the law. That’s your jobs. You all should be fired, in my viewpoint.”

Echoing these comments in a social media post, Noem continued her defiant rhetoric. “In the wake of violent domestic terror attacks, bounties, and more than 1000% increase in assaults against our ICE officers, radical sanctuary politicians are now building a ‘Master ICE tracker’ to solicit and share information on the movements of our ICE officers,” she noted.
Blasting these cowardly tactics, the post continued, “Let’s call this what it is: a pipeline that will funnel information on American law enforcement directly into the hands of anarchists, domestic terrorists, and cartel members.”
Wrapping up her post, she noted the path forward. “I am working with @AGPamBondi to ensure that ANY individual who doxxes, threatens, or assaults our law enforcement officers will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” the statement read.
In another social media message, she said, “Our brave men and women of law enforcement are being targeted and attacked by violent anarchists who seek to tear down America. I want each and every member of law enforcement to know this: President Trump and I have your backs. Stand with ICE as they continue to protect and defend our homeland.”
