Republican Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene has successfully won her bid for re-election, defeating Democrat challenger Marcus Flowers. In fact, the race was not even close, as it was called in MTG’s favor in no time.
Currently with 73% of the votes counted, MTG has won 66% of the votes while Marcus Flowers only has 34.2%. This landslide of an election occurred despite Flowers raising well over $15 million in campaign donations. This was the most fundraising for any congressional candidate in the country and it was all for nothing.
Dems have been adamant in slandering Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green recently as we approached the midterms. The Rolling Stones called her one of “the most dangerous Republicans on the Ballot” labeling her, like many other left-wing outlets, a far-right conspiracy theorist.
It’s clear the Dems are threatened by the momentum so many Republicans have nationwide. MTG has been a champion of many conservative causes by blasting COVID restrictions, vowing to protect the unborn, advocating for American energy independence, and refusing to infringe upon the Second Amendment. There is even speculation that Trump may select MTG as a vice president, as he may be looking for a female vice president and someone who has displayed loyalty to the MAGA movement.
However, this is not the only example of Democrats spending exorbitantly on candidates only to be completely destroyed at the ballots. Florida candidate Val Demmings challenged two-term Republican incumbent senator Marco Rubio, where it is reported the Dems spent $73 million in a failed attempt to unseat Rubio. Marco Rubio ending up winning his re-election bid by over one million votes.
