Marvel Studios actor Mark Ruffalo, most well-known for his role as the Hulk in the Avengers films, went on a wild tirade against President Donald Trump earlier this year at the Golden Globes when asked for his thoughts on the current American political climate. Ruffalo, 58, attended the annual event, the 83rd ceremony of its existence, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, where he was nominated for an award for his role as Tom Brandis in Task.
Unfortunately for the radical left-wing actor, he lost the award for best male actor to Noah Wyle, however, he did manage to make some time during the event to engage in his favorite pastime: trashing Trump. As he arrived on the red carpet, he was spotted by a member of the media sporting a pin that said, “Be Good,” on his jacket, a reference to Renee Good who was shot and killed after she attempted to run over an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Several other actors, Natasha Lyonne and Wanda Sykes, also wore the pins. Ruffalo took an opportunity to virtue signal by telling reporters on the red carpet, “This is for Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered.” He then slammed Vice President JD Vance saying, “We have a vice president who is lying about what’s happening.”
According to a report from Metro, during a press conference the day after the shooting, Vance said that Good’s death was “a tragedy of her own making,” adding that ICE officer Jonathan Ross “deserves a debt of gratitude” after doing “a very, very important job for the United States of America.” Ruffalo then continued his rant on the red carpet.
“‘We’re in the middle of a war with Venezuela that we illegally invaded,” Ruffalo told reporters. “He’s telling the world that international law doesn’t matter to him. The only thing that matters to him is his own morality, but the guy is a convicted felon. He’s the worst human being in the world.” And he wasn’t done there.
“If we’re relying on this guy’s morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we’re all in a lot of trouble,” his rant continued. Ruffalo later stated that the pin was dedicated to the “people in the United States who are terrorized and scared today.” He then added, “I know I’m one of them. I love this country. And what I’m seeing here happening is not America.”
“I want to be here to celebrate, and I am here to celebrate, and I’m proud to have a Golden Globe nomination. But also, this is not normal anymore. So I don’t know how I could be quiet,” the actor said. Ruffalo’s comments referenced the hush money trial that led to then-candidate Trump being convicted of 34 counts of allegedly falsifying records.

He also mentioned sexual assault allegations against Trump that date back to the 1980s, which the president has steadfastly denied. Ruffalo supported twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election and has also publicly expressed support for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
