Woke University Staff Member Gets Fired after Praising Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

In some big news out of the ruby red state of Mississippi, a far-left university staff member who was caught celebrating the assassination of Turning Point USA Founder and Trump ally Charlie Kirk has been fired, a scalp that those pushing for such execrable individuals to be fired can claim as the fight to out and fire them continues in the wake of Kirk’s tragic slaying.

The staff member at hand is Lauren Stokes. She was caught, in the wake of Kirk’s death, saying, “For decades, yt [sic] supremacist and reimagined Klan members like Kirk have wreaked havoc on our communities, condemning children and the populace at large to mass death for the sake of keeping their automatic guns.”

Continuing, she said, They have willingly advocated to condemn children and adult survivors of SA to forced pregnancy and childbirth. They have smiled while stating the reasons people who can birth children shouldn’t be allowed life-saving medical care when miscarrying. They have incited and clapped for the brutalizing of Black and Brown bodies. So no, I have no prayers to offer Kirk or respectable statements against violence.”

Calling her out by posting a picture of her and her position, along with the horrid comments she made online in an attempt to draw enough attention to get her fired, an account X said, “Let’s make this sick libtard famous!! She is on the staff at Ole Miss & Owns a restaurant called Tarasque in Oxford, MS!! You know what to do!!”

Following up on that, a Mississippi CEO named Russ Latino wrote, “A member of the executive staff at Ole Miss, Lauren Stokes, shared a post last night essentially arguing that Charlie Kirk got what was coming to him. It’s caused an uproar in and out of Mississippi after this viral tweet connected the dots.” He continued, “Stokes appears to have been scrubbed from the university website. University officials told @MagnoliaTribune that a statement would be issued later today.”

Adding to that in the afternoon on Wednesday, September 11, Russ Latino shared a screenshot of a statement from the university about the fired professor and noted that she has been fired from it, writing, “BREAKING: Lauren Stokes is no longer employed by the University of Mississippi.”

In the statement, the university said, “Yesterday, a University of Mississippi staff member re-shared hurtful, sensitive comments on social media regarding the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk. These comments run completely counter to our institutional values of civility, fairness, and respecting the dignity of each person.”

Continuing, the university noted that the professor has been fired and that the school is standing by its tradition of civility rather than praise of murder, writing, “We condemn these actions, and this staff member is no longer employed by the university. All of us have a responsibility to take seriously our commitment to upholding a civil and respectful campus environment.”

Concluding, the university said its prayers are going out for the Kirk family, writing, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kirk family, as well as members of our campus community who are affected by this senseless act of violence. I encourage our campus community to support one another and don’t hesitate to use the support services and resources available to you.”
