Woke Media Outlet Declares It Did Nothing Wrong after Getting Caught Lying about Kristi Noem through Deceptive Editing [WATCH]

In another bizarre and absolutely infuriating incident out of the mainstream media, CBS News has been caught lying about Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem through deceptive editing of comments she made on its far-left Sunday morning politics program “Face the Nation” with host Margaret Brennan. CBS has, of course, insisted it did nothing wrong.

For reference, the editing occurred when DHS Secretary Noem answered a question about “Maryland Man” Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who the administration contends is a human trafficker and member of the notorious El Salvadorian gang MS-13, and so is trying to deport him to a third-party country in Africa.

In the clip of Noem’s answer about Garcia that made its way onto TV, Secretary Noem said that the prosecution decision rests with the DOJ, telling moderator Ed O’Keefe, “Prosecution decisions are always made by the Department of Justice and Pam Bondi’s department, so we will let them do that, although this individual does have criminal charges pending.”

Continuing, her as seen on TV answer ended with Secretary Noem telling the moderator, before the edited program jumped to his next question, “He has charges pending against him civilly as well. And the one thing that we will continue to do is to make sure that he doesn’t walk free in the United States of America.”

But, in reality, that is not all that Secretary Noem said. In her full answer, Noem commented on Garcia’s connections to MS-13 and human smuggling, amongst other noxious crimes, saying, “This individual was a known human smuggler, an MS-13 gang member, and an individual who is a wife beater, and someone who is so perverted that he solicited nude photos from minors and even his fellow human traffickers told him to knock it off.”

Ending her full response to the question about Garcia, Secretary Noem then said, “He was so sick in what he was doing and how he was treating small children. So, he needs to never be in the United States of America, and our administration is making sure we’re doing all that we can.” Watch the edited versus full answer here:

When the interview aired on TV, Noem caught that CBS edited out that whole part of her answer, and slammed the network on X, writing, “I joined CBS to report the facts about Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Instead, CBS shamefully edited the interview to whitewash the truth about this MS-13 gang member and the threat he poses to American public safety.”

CBS News then insisted through a statement given by a spokesperson that it had done nothing wrong and the edited interview was perfectly fine. It said, “Secretary Noem’s Face The Nation interview was edited for time and met all CBS News standards.” It continued, “The entire interview is publicly available on YouTube, and the full transcript was posted early Sunday morning at CBSNews.com.”

However, while still not admitting wrongdoing, it did backtrack by announcing it will no longer release edited interviews. It said, “In response to audience feedback over the past week, we have implemented a new policy for greater transparency in our interviews. ‘Face the Nation’ will now only broadcast live or live-to-tape interviews (subject to national security or legal restrictions).

Continuing with that announcement, the CBS News spokesperson told Fox News Digital, “This extra measure means the television audience will see the full, unedited interview on CBS, and we will continue our practice of posting full transcripts and the unedited video online.”
