Woke Democrat Ro Khanna Goes Ballistic after Trump Strikes Big Oil Deal with Venezuela

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) stated recently during an interview on MS NOW, the ashes of what is left of previous left-wing network MSNBC, that President Donald Trump’s agreement that gives the U.S. majority control over more than 65 billion barrels of Venezuela’s oil reserves is “morally wrong.” The comments were made during the All In show hosted by Chris Hayes.

Hayes stated during the conversation, “I want to ask you about something he said today. He just announced that having abducted a president of that country, that we are now going to essentially get all their oil reserves. This is a huge deal. And we’ve now taken over, essentially, Venezuelan oil reserves. Do you think there’s still like a core of anti-imperial civic culture in this country, in which just people understand there’s something wrong about abducting a country’s leader to take their oil?”

“Sad to see. It’s like we’ve rolled back the clock 100 years. Yeah, the era of gunboat diplomacy and, you know, the history. So what we did in Guatemala, what we did in El Salvador, what we did in Haiti, but it’s wrong. It’s wrong to have a colonial model of the world. I mean, my grandfather was in jail twice fighting for British independence,” Khanna responded.

“And it was FDR who pushed Churchill to decolonize. And I thought America, had stood for decolonization. Trump is rolling it all back because he simply believes in a world where might makes right, where you take what you can. And we need to oppose it on moral grounds. It’s not just that it’s strategically wrong. It’s morally wrong. It’s not what America should be, given our principles,” the California Democrat said, according to a report from Breitbart News.

Folks on social media platform X shared their thoughts about Khanna’s statements and none of them were all that supportive. In fact, quite the opposite. One user stated that Khanna’s ignorance surpassed that of two other infamous Democrats. “I think he’s eclipsed the epic ignorance of Al Green and Shri Thanadar, and that’s double tough,” the individual wrote.

Someone else noted that the U.S. wasn’t the only country profiting from the ordeal in Venezuela. The Venezuelans were too. “The people of Venezuela are getting a significant share of the money and US firms are ponying up the capital to make this viable,” the person said. Another user quipped, “A Democrat talking about morals. What a f***ing joke. Don’t go away mad, just go away.”

“Ro Khanna probably got his moral compass from China,” one user wisecracked. “It is not Taking. They get more oil, too. Win-Win. They stole the infrastructure American companies (and taxpayers) paid for. When did you speak out against that?” another individual commented. “It will reduce the gas cost in America and that’s why they can’t stand it and are attacking this. They want gas prices high for the midterms,” one user suggested.
