The midterm elections held on November 3, 2026 did not go well for Republicans, with Democrats ultimately flipping both the House and Senate and managing to take over formerly conservative strongholds like Texas. This has excited Hollywood liberals to no end, with many taking to social media to celebrate President Donald Trump becoming a “lame duck” president.
One such individual is Trump’s archenemy and former “The View” co-host, Rosie O’Donnell, who got on TikTok to do a victory lap following the midterm results. “It’s a beautiful morning in the world. The Trump regime is over. Thank you America. We gave a very loud and clear message to Trump and his sycophants, his criminal friends: we’ve had enough,” O’Donnell said.
“I’m so proud of our country. Let the investigations begin people. This is a glorious day. You don’t get to define us, you madman. I love you America,” she said. It’s important to note that O’Donnell left the United States right after President Trump won the 2024 election and became a citizen of Ireland. “Really, and this is a glorious day. Now, I feel sorry for the people who have to clean up the White House after Mr. Ketchup Thrower gets all his rage out.”
“He released a statement saying that if he had been on the ballot, it would have been a landslide,” she continued, according to The Independent. “Listen, delusional, diaper Don, that’s not the truth, buddy. It was bigger than a blue wave. It was bigger than a tsunami.”
Musical artists The Chicks were also tickled pink about the blue wave that swept across the country. The band brought a group of fans on stage after spotting them with “F–k Trump” signs during a show in Los Angeles on the night of the election. “Well hello Los Angeles,” Natalie Maines said to the crowd, smiling. “Welcome to our blunami night,” she continued.
“So glad we can enjoy this night together. Texas is blue. The Senate is blue. The House is blue. This was gonna be a very different night if that wasn’t the case. Welcome to the 20th anniversary of Taking the Long Way,” Maines told the audience. Oscar-winner Viola Davis was also ecstatic about Keisha Lance Bottoms, who became the first black female governor in U.S. history.
“We the people …..THE PEOPLE!!” she went on to say in a post shared on Instagram. “We are the orchestrators of this nation….and we have spoken…through our vote….CONGRATULATIONS, my sistah.” Actor John Leguizamo, best known for his role as Sid the Sloth from the film franchise Ice Age, also posted a video on Instagram sharing his elation about the victories Democrats took on Election Day.

“You did it, we did it, this is redemption time,” he said in the clip. “It’s time to fix this mess.” Actress and singer Bette Midler, a longtime opponent of Trump, according to The Guardian, wrote, “I am OVERJOYED! What a great, great night! Thank you, America! You’ve saved your beloved country!!” Horror author Stephen King joined the chorus saying that the huge victory for Democrats was a sign of the country’s “buyer’s remorse” for choosing Trump in 2024.
