Woke Actress Meryl Streep Goes on the Rude and Awful Attack Against Melania Trump

In a ridiculous and infuriating series of comments made as she desperately attempted to promote her Devil Wears Prada sequel, an obvious cash grab from a declining actress in a Hollywood desperate for money, far-left actress Meryl Streep went on the attack against Melania Trump’s impeccable fashion style.

That wasn’t all. After attacking the famously glamorous and beautiful first lady for her sense of style and fashion, the far-left actress went on to attack Melania Trump for what she said was Melania’s “destabilizing” of powerful women, which then led to her complaining about men’s and women’s fashion.

That came when Streep spoke with Anna Wintour, the long-time editor-in-Chief for Vogue magazine. During that Vogue interview, the First Lady’s sense of fashion and style came up. In fact, Wintour brought it up positively, saying, “To be fair, Melania Trump also always looks like herself when she dresses.”

It was in response to that comment that Streep let loose and attacked Melania. She began, “I have so many thoughts about this.” Continuing, she attacked Melania for a jacket she wore in June of 2018, saying, “I think the most… powerful message that our current first lady sent was in the coat that said ‘I Really Don’t Care, Do U?’ when she was going to see migrant children who were incarcerated.”

That wasn’t all. Continuing, the 76-year-old actress went on to insist that the First Lady doesn’t understand her place in history, as if she is better informed about the First Lady’s position than the First Lady is. She insisted, “All dress is about expressing yourself, but we’re also subject to larger historical and political sweeps of expectation.”

Streep wasn’t done. She went on to insist that it is offensive that men are wearing suits for political events whereas women like Melania go sleeveless, snapping, “I’m stunned at how women in power have to have bare arms on television while men are covered in shirts and ties or a suit.”

Still not done, she insisted, “There’s an apology built into women. They have to show their smallness. It’s compensatory: The advancements of women in the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of this one have been destabilizing.” She then said, “It’s as if women have to say, ‘I’m little. I can’t walk in these shoes. I can’t run. I’m bare, not threatening.’”

Melania Trump’s team, namely her senior adviser Marc Beckman, who shut down the claim about Melania’s jacket in comments to Breitbart News, saying, “criticism of First Lady Melania Trump’s 2018 jacket in Vogue is misplaced — and outdated.” Beckman then added, “The First Lady has already addressed and debunked the narrative in her memoir, MELANIA. The real story is not a jacket from years ago — it is First Lady Melania Trump’s leadership.”

Beckman added, “Since the start of the 47th presidential administration, First Lady Melania Trump has led four reunifications of Ukrainian and Russian children with their families; bolstered Fostering the Future, her national university network supporting individuals from the foster care community; built Fostering the Future Together, a global coalition advancing education and technology for children; delivered a “Peace Through Education” address at the UN Security Council; championed the Take It Down Act to combat non-consensual AI-generated intimate imagery; secured $30 million for housing for individuals who aged out of foster care, and advanced an Executive Order to support America’s foster youth.”
