Co-host of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg, recently scolded an audience member for recording the show. During the taping of the episode, Goldberg interrupted the discussion to call out the male audience member for his conduct.
The panel of women was discussing the recent news where Donald Trump’s bond in the New York civil fraud case was lowered to $175 million, Goldberg halted the conversation, telling co-host Sonny Hostin, “Hold on, hold on,” who was explaining to viewers they should be disgruntled over the more favorable terms being granted to the former president.
“What’s the matter?” Joy Behar asked, confused about the situation. Goldberg told the audience member, “Sir, I have to stop you with the camera, ’cause I can see you,” Goldberg then told the man, “So do me a favor, don’t pull it out again. I’d appreciate that.”
“What was he doing?” Behar asked the women at the table. Sara Haines informed her that he was “recording.” Apparently, the usage of cell phones while attending the recording is prohibited for audience members.
Citizen Free Press uploaded footage of the incident to X with the caption, “Whoopi Goldberg interrupted The View to scold an audience member for recording during the show.” Social media users have questioned why Goldberg reacted so harshly to the audience member. One user said, “Do they not realize they’re on national television??” Another person questioned in the comments section, “It’s recorded anyway. What’s the issue?”
“The View” has garnered quite a reputation for embracing left-wing bias on the show as the co-hosts navigate the cultural topics of the age. The American Tribune reported on a recent discussion on the show, which painted men as “useless” and unnecessary.
Co-host Joy Behar brought up the topic, highlighting a recent viral video in which women were asked if they needed men, and the majority answered they did not. However, when a group of men asked the same question, the overwhelming response was that they did.
“In this clip going viral online of a dozen women being asked the following question, do we need men? Most answered very quickly. No. And only one said she thought women needed a man in their lives only one. But when men were asked a similar question, do we need women? Most of them said yes. So why do you think that is?” Behar stated
“Because men are useless,” Ana Navarro said, when Behar asked why her co-hosts supposed the women felt this way. She also was sure to make a significant distinction between straight and gay men, applauding the gay community for their supposed utility in the daily lives of women. “Nobody can help you from keep you from doing harm to yours to yourself like gay men,” she added.
