The Biden DOJ is allegedly planning on arresting ever more non-violent Jan. 6th protesters and Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg goes after Trump and allegedly plans on arresting him sometime this week. Many of the MAGA Republicans have spoken out, at least about the pending Trump arrest, but many of the Establishment RINOs have stayed silent in the face of political persecution.
Among them are senators like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Texas Senator John Cornyn, the same RINO that helped the Democrats pass a gun control bill in the runup to the 2022 midterms.
But their silence hasn’t gone unnoticed. FNC’s Tucker Carlson noticed and called them out, demanding answers to where they’ve been and why they’ve stayed silent as the powers that be crack down on the MAGA base. Watch him here:
Tucker calls out the GOP's weakness on the Biden administration's political persecutions: "This is bigger than Donald Trump and it has been for a long time. Where's Mitch McConnell? Where's Thom Tillis? Where's John Cornyn? Are these people on board with arresting their voters?" pic.twitter.com/SO4UHW8Ncb

As you can here in the clip, Tucker, describing the Biden Administration’s attempts to “take out” the protesters, said:
“Isn’t that how you treat ISIS? These are Americans. You’re talking about Powell, that man in a free country would have no power whatsoever over his fellow citizens. And instead, He’s launching a new war on terror against people who vote differently from him.
“This is bigger than Donald Trump, and it has been for a long time, and now it’s escalating. So where are the Republicans you wonder the people you vote for who are supposed to be protecting you from this, but the country from devolving into something unrecognizable? Where’s Mitch McConnell, by the way, he’s the lead Republican in the Senate. Where’s Tom Tillis? The liberal Republican from North Carolina was John Cornyn of Texas, where all the other Republican senators who said shut up you shouldn’t see the videotape from January 6.
“Are these people on board with arresting 1000? More nonviolent January 6 protesters, their voters? We asked them we didn’t get any replies Lindsey Graham’s spokesman did send over this thoroughly humiliating response, quote, you sure put a lot of trust in the Washington Post. We take most of what we read there with a grain of salt.
“So the US attorney in Washington announces in federal court that he’s going to haul another 1000, maybe 1200 Trump voters to jail. And the response from people like Lindsey Graham and the rest of these people in the United States Senate Republicans who voted for is don’t worry about it. They’re saying the same thing as the Manhattan DA threatens to put Donald Trump the leading Republican presidential candidate in handcuffs. This is shameful. They refuse to defend the Constitution or their own voters. And we really hope through the electoral system, they are punished at one point.”
As the meme with Trump goes, “They’re not after me, they’re after you. And I’m just in the way.” Indeed, though now it’s increasingly looking like the Security State has grown so large and powerful that now Trump isn’t an effective windbreak and so, though he’s under attack because he’s in their way, his supporters are under attack too.
