Country music has always been a style that has dominated by conservatives since its inception. After all, it’s a genre that got its start in extremely rural communities by individuals who had to farm the land, work the mines, open up mom and pop stores, and rely on the sweat of their brows in order to make a living and raise their families.
The folks who established the genre were down-to-earth people who relied on each other, not the government for support, and loved the freedom that lifestyle provides. Fast-forward to the modern era and progressive ideology has slowly seeped its way into the country music industry, with three popular stars leading the charge against President Donald Trump. But fans of the genre refuse to put up with the infection and are now calling for these stars to be the subject of a massive boycott.
Country superstar Kacey Musgraves left fans of the genre furious after she took time during a live performance to ask the audience to consider donating money to the children of “unfairly” deported illegal aliens. The eight-time Grammy winner also referred to President Trump as a “f***ing tool” for praising the viewership numbers of his COVID-19 press briefings during the pandemic.
According to Yahoo News, singer Maren Morris is another big anti-Trump country musician. Morris slammed the president in a video posted on TikTok, where she said, “I don’t have forgiveness for the triple Trumpers or any of the Trumpers,” before going on to add, “You did vote for this.” She also referred to Trump as a “dementia-ridden, diaper-clad, cornball, ex TV host, bankrupt to f**k.” Watch one of her outbursts below:
And then there’s the latest and most disappointing artist for country fans: Jelly Roll. Jelly recently had a week-long gig hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he trashed Trump during one of his opening monologues by making fat jokes about him and belittling his intelligence. During the monologue, Jelly said, “A lot of doctors are worried about the president’s weight. After his last physical, we found out Trump gained 14 pounds, which means he is now tipping the scales at almost 240. That’s crazy.”

“Think about this, y’all, in the few last years I’ve lost 300 pounds. That means I’ve lost an entire Donald Trump. And let’s be honest, based on his approval ratings, it seems like most of the country wants to do the same thing,” Jelly Roll added. The Grammy-winning artist then addressed the backlash he received from the segment from fans, claiming he was just “telling it like it is.” He also said he’s ready for MAGA to stop listening to his music. He’s certainly about to get his wish.

Fans aren’t being shy about their feelings toward Jelly and any other artist that has come out against Trump, calling for boycotts of their music and live performances. “Bye bye b***h, clearly you didn’t read the room.
