WATCH: Woke University Student Arrested, Faces Major Charges after Assaulting TPUSA Setup on Campus

In yet another act of radical left-wing violence against conservatives, a student at the University of Iowa was taken into custody by local law enforcement after he flipped a Turning Point USA table on campus and is now facing serious charges. New information has surfaced that shows the student, Justin Calhoon was arrested for a similar incident just days before the encounter with TPUSA with the school’s Young America’s Foundation group.

A criminal complaint filed against Calhoon reveals he flipped the YAF table on campus on October 27. A few days later on Halloween, Calhoon was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, fifth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree harassment. The complaint also says that Calhoon left the residence hall in the early part of the afternoon and was caught on surveillance camera’s approaching the YAF table where he displayed “disruptive and aggressive behavior.”

“Upon arrival, Defendant disrupted their assembly by flipping the groups [sic] table, made obscene gestures, and shouted profanity, including ‘s— my d—,’ while flipping off the group,” the complaint went on to say. Some of the group’s property was damaged in the incident.

A week after his first arrest, Calhoon was busted a second time when he flipped the TPUSA table. The encounter was captured on video and shows a man that authorities identified as Calhoon reaching across the table and pulling it toward him, flipping it on its side, spilling the group’s materials onto the ground. The organization was founded by Charlie Kirk who was assassinated in September.

A few hours later, Calhoon once again found himself in cuffs, charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, fifth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of third-degree harassment. A group of female students with TPUSA stated that they felt intimidated by Calhoon and his violent behavior.

“The incident left the group visibly shaken and disrupted their event,” a criminal complaint from the TPUSA incident revealed. “They were forced to reset their table and reported feeling frazzled and intimidated, particularly as all members present were female.”

When Fox News reached out to the University of Iowa for a comment about Calhoon’s assault on TPUSA, the school stated that it expects students to abide by specific conduct standards. However, they neglected to state whether Calhoon will face any disciplinary action.

“All Iowa students are expected to follow the Code of Student Life, which sets standards for student behavior and conduct. While the outcome of these investigations are considered confidential, discipline is based on the severity of the violation,” a university spokesperson told the outlet. The university then stated that they also believe in freedom of speech.

“The University of Iowa is fully committed to Free Speech, requiring First Amendment Training for all students annually and frequently communicating expectations for tolerating different viewpoints,” the spokesperson continued. W

hen asked about the previous incident with YAF, the University of Iowa did not respond. Clearly, extreme left-wing violence is an increasing problem in the U.S., especially on college campuses. These incidents, along with Kirk’s assassination, which also happened on a college campus, illustrate the need for stricter safety measures to be taken to preserve the freedom of speech for conservative students.
