Things heated up on the Thursday, January 2 broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “The Five” program, with the show’s token liberal host, Jessica Tarlov, getting scorched by one of the conservative co-hosts, Judge Jeanine Pirro. The matter at issue was who had claimed what, with Tarlov attempting to use the horrific attacks in New Orleans to discredit President-elect Donald Trump.
Particularly at issue was President Joe Biden’s odd and short press statement on the attack, in which he barely managed to read off a teleprompter for around three minutes, and President-elect Donald Trump’s taking the opportunity to sound off on the horrible crime situation in America and the open border.
Tarlov, reacting to President Biden’s statement on the horrific New Year’s attack that left 15 dead and dozens injured, Tarlov said, “When you say, ‘I’m embarrassed watching Joe Biden,’ I’m not embarrassed seeing someone stand up there and saying, ‘Let’s wait for some facts here,’ because Donald Trump went out there and he said…”
Judge Jeanine, interrupting, snapped about what she saw Biden as actually having said, telling Pirro, “No, he assured Americans all was well.” Responding, Tarlov fired back, “No, listen to all of the comments that he made and the statements that said we need to make sure we have the right facts, and the right facts were that the guy in New Orleans was an American. He wasn’t an illegal.”
Pirro protested Tarlov’s claims, saying, “No one’s saying he wasn’t.” Tarlov freaked out and declared that the Republicans noting the issues with illegal immigration are a problem, saying, “That’s not true! There have been Republicans who have been on TV today talking about how this was an open border problem.”
Pirro fired back by noting the immense crime problem illegal immigration is causing in New York City, telling Tarlov, “Seventy-five percent of the arrests in New York City are illegals! Let’s stop playing games!” Instead of responding to that problem, Tarlov snapped, “Move the goalposts! Move them as far as you want. Sugar Bowl-wide! Whatever. Why are you accused?” Watch them here:
In his post about the matter of illegal immigration and criminality on Truth Social, President-elect Donald Trump said, “When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true.”
Continuing, he added, “The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before. Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department. The Trump Administration will fully support the City of New Orleans as they investigate and recover from this act of pure evil!”
In another post, the president-elect slammed President Biden for the disaster at the border and connected it to the attack, saying, “With the Biden “Open Border’s Policy” I said, many times during Rallies, and elsewhere, that Radical Islamic Terrorism, and other forms of violent crime, will become so bad in America that it will become hard to even imagine or believe.”
