WATCH: Woke Reporter Pulls Mic Away from Spencer Pratt Supporters after They Bring Up Major, Gross Problem in LA that Karen Bass’s Policies Have Created

A reporter with NBC News quickly yanked her microphone away from a supporter of GOP Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt after the individual began to discuss, in great detail, what he saw happening in the city under the leadership of current Democrat Mayor Karen Bass. The incident occurred during the network’s coverage of Tuesday’s primary elections.

NBC reporter Liz Kreutz took an opportunity to interview a group of Pratt’s supporters about the chances of the former reality television star making it into the November 2026 runoff race and asked them what about his campaign resonated with them. She got a whole lot more than she bargained for. One man mentioned Pratt not wanting “human feces to be a part of your life” and not wanting homeless children outside.

Kreutz immediately thanked the guy and ended the interview. “Thank you,” she said, which prompted the man to shout that she “ran away,” suggesting that Kreutz wasn’t really interested in hearing the truth about why so many are supporting a Republican candidate. “We appreciate you,” Kreutz said as she walked away. “We talked a lot about the homelessness.”

According to a report from The Daily Caller, the man then took the reporter’s microphone and said, “We appreciate you, ma’am.” She then told NBC’s Hallie Jackson who was in the studio, “Hallie, I will say they’re taking a few shots, they’re feeling pretty good out here.” Jackson then cracked a joke, saying, “Margaritas are flowing.”

With a total of 60% of the vote counted as of June 3, 2026, Pratt was sitting comfortably in second place, four percentage points behind incumbent L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and eight points ahead of socialist Democratic Los Angeles City Councilwoman Nithya Raman. Pratt, who is most well-known for his time on the MTV reality series “The Hills,” received a huge boost after receiving an endorsement from President Donald Trump.

Pratt established his campaign on fighting the homelessness epidemic in the City of Angels, along with addressing out of control crime, fire preparedness, and the cost of running a business. Fire preparedness is an issue close to Pratt’s heart as he lost his home during the Palisades fire in January 2025, under the leadership of Bass, who took a trip out of the country as the fires raged.

During a debate in May 2026, Pratt was the only mayoral candidate on the stage who gave a clear, firm “no” when asked if illegal aliens and non-citizens should be allowed to participate in U.S. elections. The topic of immigration has been a primary point of political debate since President Trump took office and started taking action to enforce the law and deport criminal illegals out of the U.S.

One individual stated in the article’s comments, “Discussing the homelessness in L.A is a big no-no in California politics! Is anyone really surprised the bought and paid for fake NBC is running blocker for the Left?!” Another stated, “I worry about votes being counted correctly in the state of California! Good luck, California! I hope you get out of the clutches of the socialist loonies you have unfortunately voted in. I feel for you, as I wouldn’t trust anything the Democrats do!”
