In a shocking sermon streamed live on Sunday, February 9, a reverend in Tennessee called on his parishioners, along with other Christians, to “get violent and fight” against the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) efforts to shut down waste in the federal government. Doing so, the woke pastor said that DOGE and Elon had left Christians with “no other choice.”
That woke pastor is Dr. Steve Caudle of Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church, a primarily African-American church located in Chattanooga, TN. He claimed in the sermon that the Elon Musk-led DOGE was going to “steal” the information and money of American citizens, and thus that “violent” conflict is needed and coming.
Beginning his angry tirade against those who are attempting to fight fraud, waste, and corruption in the government, Caudle said, “In this nation, I’m worried that we are on the verge of bloodshed. This is an attempt to take us back to a day that we do not want to go, and we will not go. Therefore, there will be conflict.”
Continuing, he said, “I pray that the peace of God will win out and overcome the madness that is attempting to take over this nation.” Then, after calling on God to “overcome the madness,” the pastor proceeded to call for “violence.” He said, “And I will say to you, beloved: no one likes violence, but sometimes violence is necessary.”
The woke reverend went on to declare that Elon was stealing “personal information” by watching where the Treasury sent money, saying, “When Elon Musk forces his way into the United States Treasury and threatens to steal your personal information and your social security check, there is a possibility of violence.”
Still not done, he then claimed that Elon Musk was either the devil or acting on his behalf, being somewhat imprecise in his language, and thus that Elon must be fought with violence. The reverend said, “Sometimes the devil will act so ugly, that there is no other choice but to get violent and fight!”
Continuing by invoking Matthew 11:12, the woke pastor said, “… Why not talk this way? Because Jesus did… Jesus said in this key verse… ‘The kingdom of Heaven suffers — what — violence. And the who — the violent — take it by force,” Caudle preached. “The kingdom of God is a warzone, it is a battlefield. You did know this, right?” Watch him here:

The spat comes alongside Elon’s DOGE being prohibited from accessing the Treasury payment system. Senator Tom Cotton, calling out the absurdity of the ruling on X, said, “Outrageous. Obama Judge Paul Engelmayer didn’t just bar @elonmusk and @dogefrom Treasury systems, he barred the Secretary of the Treasury himself.”
Continuing, Sen. Cotton went on to write, “Without citing a single law or even allowing Trump admin to appear in court! This outlaw should be reversed immediately and Engelmayer should be forbidden by higher courts from ever hearing another case against the Trump admin.”
