A video went nuclear online that showed a horrid leftist named Michelea Ponce, an Enloe Health employee in Chico, CA, verbally harassing elderly Target worker Jeanie Beeman, a 72-year-old woman, for wearing a Charlie Kirk “Freedom” t-shirt, calling her “f***ing stupid” and accusing her of supporting a racist.
When the footage exploded on social media, the incident sparked outrage. Chico Police responded by investigating potential threats, and Enloe Health conducted an internal review citing calls across political lines. Additionally, a GiveSendGo fundraiser for Jeanie’s retirement raised an incredible ~$180,000.
Reacting to the news in a viral post, a conservative poster on X posted, “🚨 BREAKING: Police are now INVESTIGATING the incident where leftist woman Michelea Ponce harassed and berated an old lady for wearing a Charlie Kirk shirt while working in Target. Ponce’s employer says police are investigating and that they’ve been FLOODED with calls. GOOD! This is harassment. We need accountability.”
Attached to the same post was an official statement from the beligerant woman’s employer. “The Chico Police Department is investigating a social media post on the personal account of an Enloe Health employee. We are deeply concerned about the tenor of this post and the response it is creating from individuals of all political persuasions,” Enloe Health declared.
Building on that exact point and asking for patience, the statement read, “We ask for patience and calm as we conduct our own internal investigation of this matter. In the meantime, we are relying on the expertise of the Chico Police Department to investigate any potential criminal activity or threats related to it.”
Wrapping up, the same source declared, “Currently, extremely high call volumes related to this post are overwhelming Enloe’s switchboard and clinic phone lines, negatively impacting our patients’ ability to reach clinical staff. Additionally, a good Samaritan launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the victim. “On Monday in Chico, California, an elderly Target employee found herself at the center of national attention after being filmed by someone we can only describe as unhinged,” the post read.
Continuing, the description read, “This individual berated her fellow Californian with unwarranted fury because she was wearing a shirt supporting Charlie Kirk. Now, we are hoping to raise enough money so that she can afford a much-needed vacation. A time for her to relax, recharge and just forget about the ugliness.”
In the comments under the original post, conservatives expressed their anger at the unprofessional outbursts. “This video is incredibly exhausting to even watch. Regardless about how you feel about it – why on earth would anyone suddenly start cursing out an elderly woman in a target? Have some basic respect for others,” one user responded.
