WATCH: Woke Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Slammed for “Public Mental Breakdown” Rant after DOJ Launches New Investigation into Him

The woke mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, is facing a major DOJ probe for racial discrimination in city contracts sparked by an ill-considered speech at Woodlawn’s Apostolic Church. Not only does this come after a raft of previous corruption charges, over a “gift room,” but Johnson also boasted of favoring Black officials to “make up for stolen wealth” as reparations.

For context, after the Trump administration sent a letter detailing multiple Title VII violations, quoting Johnson’s comments about using race to hire staff, such as “deputy mayor is a Black woman” to ensure “our people get a chance.” In reaction, Johnson went on a massive meltdown where he called Trump a “monster.”

In any case, Johnson made a massive fool of himself with a breathless press conference. “You know, as far as you know, the President’s animus towards women, people of color, working people. We have always known who he has been. This is not a surprise. He’s a monster, period,” he whined.

Concluding his crazed comments, Johnson complained, “We have the most diverse administration in the history of Chicago, and he is threatened by that. You can tell when someone is fearful because they act out. We have a president who is screaming and having tantrums right now, because we have an administration that reflects the city of Chicago, but he would much rather have administrations that reflect the country club.”

As we reported, the Trump DOJ sent a strongly worded letter to the Chicago mayor listing out how he may have violated the law. “The Department of Justice is opening an investigation to determine whether the City of Chicago, Illinois, is engaged in a pattern or practice of discrimination based on race, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964…It is the responsibility of the Attorney General of the United States to enforce the provisions of Title VII with respect to state and local government employers,” the letter stated.

Laying out the case, the document read, “Our investigation is based on information suggesting that you have made hiring decisions solely on the basis of race. In your remarks made yesterday at the Apostolic Church of God in Woodlawn, you “highlight[ ed] the number of Black officials in [your] administration.” You then went on to list each of these individuals, emphasizing their race.”

Using Johnson’s own words against him, the DOJ skewered the woke mayor. “‘Business and economic neighborhood development, the deputy mayor is a Black woman’; ‘Department of planning and development is a Black woman.’; ‘Infrastructure, deputy mayor is a Black woman’; ‘Chief operations officer is a Black man’; ‘Budget director is a Black woman’; ‘Senior advisor is a Black man,'” the document read.

Wrapping up the letter, the DOJ wrote, “Considering these remarks, I have authorized an investigation to determine whether the City of Chicago is engaged in a pattern or practice of discrimination as set forth above. If these kind of hiring decisions are being made for top-level positions in your administration, then it begs the question whether such decisions are also being made for lower-level positions.”
