President Donald Trump’s new White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, has started doing the White House Press Briefings and is already doing a great job, shutting down and laughing at leftist reporters for their absurd questions. As such, she’s already much-despised by the left, which has gone on the warpath against her. Amongst those doing so was Whoopi Goldberg, who absurdly claimed that “wokeness” got Leavitt her job.
Whoopi’s freakout on “The View” was sparked by a comment Leavitt made about the Trump administration’s since-partially rescinded federal funding freeze memo. Doing so, she said the “pause” in funding was meant to end funding for “transgenderism and wokeness across our federal bureaucracy and agencies.”
That set Whoopi off. Shouting about it on her show, the woke co-host declared that it was “wokeness” that got Leavitt her job in the White House, an absurd contention given its harder stance against leftism this time around. She said, “Let me explain something to you, because without that wokeness, you might not have that job!”
Continuing, Whoopi declared that it was “wokeness” that meant women could be press secretaries, implying that Leavitt should, thus, appreciate and support wokeness. She said, “Because women were not invited to that table. Women were not invited to many tables in this nation. The reason we fought and busted our behinds to make sure that you didn’t have to worry about this.”
Whoopi wasn’t done with her absurd talking point. Continuing, she declared that “wokeness was put in place for a reason,” and that the reason was that black people and women had a harder time getting spots in colleges, and thus that “wokeness” solved that issue. Ignored was that things changed on that point decades before “wokeness” became a thing.
In any case, Whoopi kept up her ridiculous ramble, shouting that because “women were not invited” the societal party, wokeness was needed to break the “man’s world” and get women good positions. She said, “Women were not invited to this party. It was a man’s world, and we busted our asses to make sure that this was a person’s world.”
Still not done with her rant, Whoopi snapped that Leavitt ought to stop using the phrase “wokeness” in a derogatory fashion because she doesn’t understand that it was a good thing for her. She declared, on that ridiculous point, “So please, please stop using that phrase and talkin’ about, because you don’t understand what you’re saying.”

Finally getting to the end of her angry rant, Whoopi snapped that Leavitt, in now attacking wokeness, is essentially declaring her own job to be a bad thing, ignoring that such was not at all what Leavitt had said or meant. Whoopi said, “You’re saying, about yourself, that, you know, ‘Hey, that’s a terrible thing to be.’ It’s not a terrible thing to be. That’s why we fought.
