Resurfaced footage from 2023 demonstrates a troublesome trend of President Biden tripping as he climbs the stairs of Air Force One. Throughout his presidency, Biden had many public incidents in which he tripped and fell, drawing concerns about his dexterity and motor skills. Such criticisms of the president have only been amplified by his performance at the recent presidential debate.
Charlie Kirk, founder and CEO of the conservative activist organization Turning Point USA, shared the clip on X last year, writing, “IT HAPPENED AGAIN: Joe Biden trips as he boards Air Force One in Poland. The symbolic final image of a trip marked by posturing, brinksmanship, more $$ for Ukraine, and the further escalation of a proxy war with Russia.”
The clip shows Biden climbing the steep set of stairs before he stumbles and trips just as he almost reaches the top. The president quickly caught himself on the fall before breaking into a quick jog up the few remaining stairs. Upon reaching the top, Biden gave a brief wave to those below as he turned around and entered the presidential aircraft.
As previously mentioned, Biden’s falling during public engagements has been a trend as persistent as inflation and high interest rates throughout his presidency. According to a 2023 report from WTRF.com, Biden had fallen approximately eight times since he stepped into the Oval Office, four of which occurred on Air Force One.
As demonstrated in his tripping incidents, one of the chief concerns surrounding Biden’s movement is his stiff and rigid gait. The American Tribune recently reported on comments from a Parkinson’s expert who explained how this was an obvious sign that the president was suffering from the neurodegenerative disorder.
When asked about red flags President Biden exhibits, Dr. Tom Pitts claimed Biden’s apparent struggles with speech exhibit symptoms of neurodegeneration. “Oh, yeah, I see him 20 times a day in clinic. I mean, it’s ironic, because he has just this classic features of neurodegeneration. I mean word finding difficulties, and that’s not, Oh, I couldn’t find the word that’s from degeneration of the word retrieval area,” the doctor responded.
Furthermore, Pitts noted the examples of bradykinesia seen in Biden’s labored movements, which are a “hallmark” sign of Parkinson’s. Ultimately, Pitts claimed symptoms of the disorder are so prevalent in President Biden, that he could have diagnosed him “from across the mall.” The doctor also noted that he is a Democrat, removing any political motivation for him to attack the president with bias. Watch the tripping incident below:
“Loss of arm swing, standing up robotically. You notice when he turns, it’s kind of end block turning. It’s not a quick turn … That’s one of the hallmarks of Parkinson’s is rigidity and bradykinesia, slow movement. And he has that hallmark, especially with the low voice he said was a cold hypophonia, a small monotone voice like this over time is a hallmark of Parkinsonism. I could have diagnosed him from across the mall,” the expert said.
Adding fuel to the speculation, reports indicate that a Parkinson’s expert has visited the White House approximately eight times. However, The Tribune also reported that White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor released a report maintaining that Biden is in good health, contrasting the rampant concerns about the president among the general public.
