WATCH: Vance Manages to Trounce Tim Walz, Funnily Respond to Reporters Question in Hilarious Incident

During a funning incident in which Senator and 2024 Trump running mate JD Vance was asked about how he is preparing for his upcoming debate with Minnesota Governor and 2024 Kamala Harris running mate Tim Walz, Sen. Vance hilariously roasted the governor as someone who “embellishes” his stories.

As background, Walz has been accused of lying about everything from his military service to a DUI. For example, when a few of those who served in the National Guard with him were interviewed, the veterans had nothing positive to say about Walz, accusing him of continually lying about military service for personal gain.  “He’s a habitual liar, he lies about everything. He lies about stuff that doesn’t make sense,” one of the men said. “You’re taking a piece of their thunder, and you’re trying to capture it and put it in a bottle for yourself, and use that for your own benefit.”

Additionally, one of the veterans labeled the governor a “military impersonator” over the exaggerations of his military service. Another said, “I don’t understand how he could do it morally. He has absolutely no integrity,” addressing Walz’s seemingly disingenuous claims over the years and touting his military service as a testament to his character.

Similarly, it was revealed on Thursday, August 15, that  Walz’s congressional campaign in 2006 lied about a DUI arrest he received. Specifically, the campaign denied that Walz had been drinking on the night that he was arrested for the DUI despite the fact that his blood alcohol level was tested at the time, Walz was found to have a 0.128, well over the state’s then-allowed limit of 0.1 for driving. When arrested in 1995, Walz was driving 41 miles per hour over the speed limit in a 55 miles-per-hour zone.

In any case, Sen. Vance had quite the comment to make, based on those Walz lies and many more, such as an incident involving the Chamber of Commerce, when a reporter asked him about the upcoming debate between him and Walz, asking, “How are you preparing for a debate with Tim Walz?”

Replying, Sen. Vance jokes that he has a friend who knows how to “embellish” a story and that he’s pretending to debate that liar to prepare for dealing with Walz. He said, “Well, I found a good friend from back home who embellishes and lies a lot, and I’m having him stand in for Tim Walz. That’s what we’re doing during our debate.”

As background regarding the Chamber of Commerce incident, it was recently rediscovere that, in the same 2006 campaign involving the DUI lie, Walz had lied about getting an award from the Chamber of Commerce and was rebuked for it by then-president of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, Barry L. Kennedy.

Mr. Kennedy wrote a letter to Walz in 2006, requesting that he remove language from his campaign website regarding the made up award. “It has come to my attention that as part of your campaign for U.S. Congress, you have posted your biography on your website that claims you received an award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce for your service to the business community,” Kennedy wrote.

Kennedy added, “I have been the President of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce since 2000 and a professional staff person of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years. We researched this matter and can confirm that you have not been the recipient of any award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce.”
