While speaking to House Black Caucus, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) gave an unhinged rant where she said that Donald Trump is advocating for political violence. Ironically, Trump has been targeted by multiple assassination attempts, including when he was almost shot in Butler, PA while on the campaign trail.
Maxine Waters is a far left democrat infamous for her progressive radicalism. This clip, where she said Donald Trump was advocating for a civil war, went viral on social media. Many users condemned her violent speech and suggested she could be prosecuted. Others referenced the recent spate of protests against Trump’s close friend Elon Musk where many Teslas have been destroyed.
In the viral post, made on March 13, 2025, Maxine Waters addressed the crowd. She blamed Trump for political violence and said this would lead to a civil war. Waters said, “What does Trump expect? Oh, I know. He expects violence. I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he’s working to a civil war.”
The user who made the post, added their own commentary. They said, “Maxine Waters just DOUBLED DOWN on her violent rhetoric, even after the death threats against Trump, Elon Musk, attacks on Tesla showrooms, and MULTIPLE swatting incidents on conservatives RADICAL LEFTISTS ARE ENCOURAGING THIS VIOLENCE. They KNOW what they’re doing. “I believe [Trump] expects violence. I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he’s working toward a civil war.” These people are EVIL.”

One user chimed in with their own thoughts on Maxine Waters’ insane rant. They said, “There isn’t a time that I have heard Mad Maxine when she wasn’t espousing some form of civil unrest or violence. Her entire career is built on it. So, of course, she projects HER actions onto Trump.” Another added, “She knows exactly what she’s doing. They want the attacks to escalate.” Another wrote, “She knows exactly what she’s doing. They want the attacks to escalate.”
A comment said, “Yet another demented Democrat who stayed in office 20 years too long, who is now propelling the younger generations towards a conflict they want no part of. They should be ashamed of themselves.” One reply stated, “This is the kind of rhetoric that @AGPamBondi should be going after. It’s not okay and it’s time to set an example that members of congress are not above the law.”

If you walked past her on the sidewalk and didn’t know she was a politician…and you heard her talking like this you would call the police and let them know that someone slipped past security at Shady Acres.”
