WATCH: UFC Champ Colby Covington Dedicates Title Fight to the “MAGA Movement,” Law Enforcement

UFC champion fighter and noted Trump supporter Colby Covington took the opportunity to praise President Trump and dedicate fight night to the “MAGA Movement” when he was speaking on Friday night ahead of his Sunday match-up with UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards.

Covington, during his comments, said that he wanted to dedicate the fight to a collection of groups that conservatives tend to support, the troops and law enforcement, and the MAGA movement. He then went on to say that he thinks Trump will retake the White House and that his movement is one that the powers that be cannot stop.

He said, “Ready for the American Revolution? This fight tomorrow night is for all the men and women of law enforcement, all our troops past and present, and it’s for the whole entire MAGA movement. You can delay us, but you cannot deny us. Trump’s taking back to White House!” Then, as fans cheered, he shouted, “This one is for America … let’s go”. Watch him here:

Covington was also in the news recently for slamming NBA star LeBron James after James acted disrespectfully to the flag and National Anthem at a USC basketball game, which he was attending to watch his son play. James walked in during the Anthem, did not take off his hat or stand at attention for it, and sat down while it was still playing. That infuriated many conservatives, including Covington.

Attacking LeBron, he said, “If you hate America so much and you don’t like this country that gave you a billion dollars, leave it or come deal with me. You go to China go to go to the sweatshops that you employ all these laborers and use these women and pan pennies on the dollar to make your millions. F*ck you LeBron James. You’re coward. You’re a spineless coward. You’re a b*tch.” Watch that here:

Covington also recently praised President Trump and said that he wants Trump, who has been attending UFC events, to put the belt on him when he wins, saying, “President Trump will be in the crowd, front row, and he’s going to put that belt around my waist–then I’m going to put the belt around his waist because he’s the champ of the people and the greatest president in American history.”

Continuing, Covington explained why he supports Trump and what he thinks Trump did well during his first term, saying, “He’s done so much for this country–he had peace in the Middle East, kept our borders secure, inflation was low, gas was low. He’s going to come back in 2024 and make this country great again.”

And, explaining his confidence in himself, Covington said, “I don’t think any man alive has the discipline or heart that I have. When guys are finished with their workout and looking at their phones, that’s when I am putting in the extra work. A lot of it comes from mindset. My mind is so unbelievably strong. I feel I’m unbreakable. On Saturday night, I’m going to break Leon. He’s a tin man. The dog in me is going to come out, and I’m going to bring out the quitter in him. I never wanted a participation trophy. I’m not the biggest, I’m not the strongest, but I am the nastiest. My body is a vessel. I’ve been delayed, but on Saturday night, I will not be denied.”
