WATCH: Trump’s Favorite General Shreds Blithering Fox News Host Who Was Criticizing the President

President Donald Trump’s favorite military official completely obliterated Fox News host Will Cain after he took far too long to get to a question concerning the president’s operations in Iran. Cain seemingly suggested during the interview that he didn’t have a firm grasp on what the president’s endgame was for getting involved with Israel and striking at the oppressive Iranian regime.

“OK… well, it’s not 100 percent clear to me, general—and that’s not to suggest that I don’t support, 100 percent, what’s happening. Nor that I 100 percent offer my support…” Cain said to Gen. Jack Keane, attempting to seemingly cover his bases with potential viewers who fall on either side of the conflict. He added, “I just think… I want to ask a couple of critical questions, and I hope you know how much respect I have for your service, and, I think, it goes without saying, to anybody watching, how much respect I have for the men making these decisions…”

Keane patiently waited for almost half a minute for Cain to ask his question, then snapped at the anchor, saying, “You don’t have to patronize me, just ask the question. Go ahead, come on. Ask it.” And yet, Cain continued to ramble on for a bit, despite the protestations of the general. “To be clear, general, I’m not patronizing you. I’m trying to have a very serious conversation in front of the American people,” the host replied.

According to The Daily Beast, Cain then said, “The men making these decisions have my utmost respect, and this is less about you, and everyone making these decisions, than it is about the American people understanding the investment that lies before them.” The Fox News host finally arrived at his question, which concerned whether or not the country truly understands the objectives of the conflict.

“Do we understand the objectives?” Cain asked Keane. The question stems from concerns among Americans on both sides of the political spectrum about the justification for ongoing strikes in Iran, as there have been numerous reasons given by the Trump administration for these military operations. Keane did not seem all that concerned about any one particular objective not being clarified.

“I thought it was pretty clear. I mean, what we’re trying to do is take down what sustains this regime and keeps it being able to function,” Keane replied. “They’re saying that they’re setting the conditions for its collapse. I think those objectives are pretty clear in terms of what we’re trying to do here.” By the time the interview wrapped up, Keane’s demeanor softened and he offered up an apology for snapping at Cain.

“I’m sorry I barked at you,” he told the host. Cain again launched into another heap of praise for the general and the officials within the administration who are overseeing the strikes. The first of the strikes, which took place on February 28, 2026, took out Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had a reputation for being a cruel dictator and leader responsible for the deaths of untold thousands of protesters in Iran.
