Brian Pannebecker, a former employee for both Ford and Chrysler, and founder of Auto Workers for Trump, gave a speech in front of other auto workers where he explained how President Donald Trump saved American manufacturing and is bringing jobs back to the United States after many companies ditched the country in order to save money by using foreign labor.
“Well, we can thank this gentleman right here for all these jobs coming back, and I hear it all the time from all my connections at all the different auto plants around the Metro Detroit area,” Pannebecker said as he started his talk. He then went on to discuss how jobs are finally returning to the U.S. thanks to policies put in place by the president. “Jobs are coming back to America,” he added.
“You know, Kamala Harris was running against this guy when he ran for re-election, she wanted to get rid of the internal combustion engine, and crazy Sean Fain endorsed her,” Pannebecker continued. He then explained that if foreign automakers want to enter the U.S. marketplace to sell their vehicles, they need to make the vehicles here too.
“So we’ve got to change the mindset. We’ve got to build that. If they want to sell in our market, they got to build it in our market, and that’s what this guy told him,” the former auto worker told the crowd. “Thank you, Mr. President. It’s because of you. You saved our domestic auto industry. Thank you,” he said concluding his brief remarks.
President Trump is in Michigan to help GOP candidates running in primaries for important seats in both chambers of Congress gather the votes they will need to make it to the general election in November, which is less than a hundred days away. The president spoke inside the General Motors Proving Ground facility in front of a crowd of 3,000 people in the city of Milford.
According to a report from The Detroit News, Trump told the audience that when Democrats are in charge of things, especially major cities and states, they become “disgusting and dirty.” He then told the crowd, “We’re having the single greatest year we’ve ever had as a country. We’re not going to let these people destroy it.”
Earlier in his remarks, he said that the country had the “greatest economy” during his first term in office before the COVID-19 pandemic struck. He told the audience that his second term is blowing that economy out of the water, adding, “You’re going to see the results very soon.” As he gave his speech, several blue and white banners behind the stage read, “American jobs,” and “American cars.”

Democrats in Michigan, however, believe that the general election in November will not be in Trump’s favor and will be a referendum on his administration. They stated that the president hasn’t taken enough action to lower the cost of groceries and utility bills. Democrats also criticized the president for the war in Iran, which they say has led to an increase in gas prices.
