WATCH: Trump Suggests Deploying Military to Democrat-Run Cities like LA and Chicago

Speaking from the White House have he declared “liberation day” and deployed the military to the District of Columbia to fight violent crime, President Donald Trump announced that he is also considering sending the military to other leftist-run cities so as to end their crime problems. He pointed in particular to Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles.

For reference, the Trump Administration hinted over the weekend that, following a DOGE staffer getting attacked and beaten by a mob of “teens” in DC when he tried protecting an old woman from them, the military would be deployed to DC to clean up the streets and make the city livable again. Then, on Monday morning, that actually happened and the military was deployed.

Announcing the liberation of DC in a post on Truth Social, the president said, “Washington, D.C. will be LIBERATED today! Crime, Savagery, Filth, and Scum will DISAPPEAR. I will, MAKE OUR CAPITAL GREAT AGAIN! The days of ruthlessly killing, or hurting, innocent people, are OVER! I quickly fixed the Border (ZERO ILLEGALS in last 3 months!), D.C. is next!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Then, speaking about the matter in a press conference from the White House Briefing Room, the president declared that it is “Liberation Day in D.C.” because he is using the military to finally “rescue our nation’s capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam, and squalor, and worse.”

Adding to that, the president said that, after he fixes DC, other cities will be on the chopping block and face military action to rein in their raging crime problems. Beginning that part of the speech, he broached the idea of deploying troops to New York, saying, “Then I’m going to look at New York, in a little while. Let’s do this. Let’s do this together.”

Continuing, he suggested that Chicago could be targeted as well because the crime problem is out of control, first noting that Mayor Brandon Johnson is entirely incompetent. He said, “If we need to, we’re gonna do the same thing in Chicago, which is a disaster. We have a mayor there who is totally incompetent. He’s an incompetent man.”

Adding to that, the president roasted Illinois Governor Pritzker as well, saying, “And we have an incompetent governor there. Pritzker’s an incompetent. His family threw him out of the business. And he ran for governor. And now I understand he wants to be president. But I noticed he lost a little weight so now he has a chance.” He later added, “Hopefully LA is watching.”

Those comments came alongside the president also saying that he hopes the various terrible cities in America will just clean themselves up instead of requiring that he send in troops as an intervention targeting their crime problems. He said, “We’re just going to see what happens with this all… other cities are watching, and maybe they’ll self-clean up.” But, while he added “this will go further,” after describing other terribly crime-ridden cities in America, he said that his administration is “starting very strongly with DC.”
