Things got very entertaining as a war of words between President Donald Trump and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) escalated around the time that the president calling both Crockett and her fellow far-left congresswoman, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), very “low IQ” and challenging them to an IQ test.
For reference, both AOC and Crockett have been extremely critical of President Trump and his administration, even hurling false accusations at him surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein horror story and the Department of Justice’s seeming ineptitude in handling the story, with AOC launching particularly vile attacks against him.
So, President Trump fired back with comments that were, as he surely suspected ahead of time, immediate hits with his base. Doing so outside the White House while headed toward Marine One, the presidential helicopter, the president said, “AOC — look, I think she’s very nice but she is very Low IQ and we really don’t need low IQ.”
Continuing, he joked that AOC and Crockett need to do an IQ test competition so Americans be entertained and can see which of the two very vapid politicians is somehow lower-IQ than the other. He said, “Between her and Crockett, we’re going to give them both an IQ test to see who comes out best.”
The president also tooted his own horn as having passed the cognitive health test at the Walter Reed hospital with flying colors, comments he has made before to bait the media into attacking him. He said, “I took my test. I took a real test at Walter Reed Medical Center, and I aced it. I got every one of all those questions right.”

That wasn’t the first time that the president took a swipe at Rep. Crockett. Doing so in May of 2025 during a very entertaining interview, the President said, “I can’t name one Democrat. I mean, I look at the Democrats there in total disarray. They have a new person named Crockett. I watched her speak the other day. She’s definitely a low-IQ person, and they said she’s the future of the party.”
Responding to the president’s barb, Crockett took to social media on May 4, 2025, to post her attempt at a comeback, doing so in a post in which she alleged that the president was scared of her IQ. She whined, “For you to be in charge of the WHOLE country, you sure do have my name in your mouth a lot. Every time you say my name, you’re reminding the world that you’re terrified of smart, bold Black women telling the truth and holding you accountable. So keep talking…”

Similarly, in yet another quip at Crockett’s expense, this one a post on his Truth Social social media platform, the president repeated his hilarious nickname for Crockett and joked that she was “Low IQ” in it, posting, “I have an idea for the Democrats to bring them back into ‘play.’ After years of being left out in the cold, including suffering one of the Greatest Losses in History, the 2024 Presidential Election, the Democrats should nominate Low IQ Candidate, Jasmine Crockett, for President.”
Commenting on the matter in April of 2025, Rep. Crockett told late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel that she would “absolutely” take an IQ test head-to-head against President Trump to rebut his accusations. That came when Kimmel asked her, “Would you be willing to take an IQ test publicly, head-to-head against the president of the United States?”
