President Donald Trump made a critically acclaimed appearance at the Super Bowl, during which the crowd roared with applause. Footage shared on social media shows the president standing beside Ivanka Trump, clapping as the American flag is displayed on centerfield. Simultaneously, the crowd can be heard cheering, breaking out into loud cheering.
After he attended the highly anticipated event, in which the Philadelphia Eagles decisively defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22, Trump became the first sitting United States president to attend the Super Bowl. In a pre-taped interview, Trump indicated that he was backing the Chiefs, citing quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ impressive record.
Countless conservative commentators weighed in on Trump’s positive reception at the Super Bowl, many claiming the nation was “healing.” Libs of TikTok shared a clip of Trump receiving applause, juxtaposing it with fans booing pop star Taylor Swift. “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed. The world is healing! ” the account wrote.
Conservative commentator Nick Sortor weighed in on the support some of the players showed President Trump before the game. “AWESOME: Chiefs player Chris Jones SPECIFICALLY came out to shake President Trump’s hand right before the Super Bowl America is healing. Legacy media, who tried so hard to demonize Trump, FAILED,” he said.
Another person commented, “Exactly. The energy in the stadium tonight is electric, sending a message that couldn’t be ignored. The crowd erupted in deafening cheers for President Trump while drowning Taylor Swift in loud boos. This wasn’t just about football—it was a cultural reckoning. The American people are rejecting the media’s manufactured idols and rallying behind a leader who actually represents them. For years, the establishment has tried to push Swift as a political influencer, using her as a tool to reinforce their crumbling narrative. But tonight, the fans made it crystal clear: she doesn’t speak for them.”
In Trump’s pre-Super Bowl interview with Fox News host Brett Baier, the president said, “I thought it would be a good thing for the country to have the president be at the game.” Backing the Chiefs, he added, “I guess you have to say that when a quarterback wins as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City. I have to go with Kansas City. At the same time, Philadelphia has a fantastic — it’s going to be just a great game.”
President Trump further emphasized the need to unify the country and bring everyone together as Americans. “We have to come together,” Trump stated during the interview. “But to come together, there’s only one thing that’s going to do it, and that’s massive success. Success will bring the country together, but it’s hard.”
