In an epic moment in the afternoon of Tuesday, June 10, President Donald Trump had the troops roaring with applause for him as he made some major announcements about rolling back former President Joe Biden’s woke changes to the military, such as the renaming of famous military bases in the Southeastern United States that were named after Confederate generals.
The announcement about the military bases came when President Trump was speaking to the troops at Fort Bragg, in North Carolina, to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the US Army. Further, the speech came as a way of rallying support as he makes the controversial decion to send National Guard troopers and US Marines to Los Angeles to quiet the riots against ICE raids through the city.
Further, the decision rallied his support amongst his conservative base, which was quite hostile to President Biden’s decision to rename the bases as a way of expunging supposed racism from the ranks of the military, something that came alongside former Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s anti-racism “stand down” order.
In any case, following up on current SecDef Pete Hegseth’s decision to rename Fort Bragg to Fort Bragg, President Trump told the troops, “For a little breaking news, we are also going to be restoring the names to Fort Pickett, Fort Hood, Fort Gordon, Fort Polk, Fort A.P. Hill and Fort Robert E. Lee.”
Further, commenting on the Biden government’s attempt to rename Fort Bragg, President Trump said, “It’s a beautiful sight to be with you in a place called Fort Bragg.” He added, “Can you believe they changed that name in the last administration for a little bit? We’ll forget all about that.” Watch him here:
That wasn’t all. Another awesome moment during his 250th Army birthday commemoration visit, the president was cheered by troops who roared with chants of “USA! USA!” That cheer came as the president commented on what he called an “awesome display of pure, unrivaled American military might.” He added, commenting on the displays of force, “We want to show off a little bit.”

Some of the cool hardware and general military awesomeness displayed for the president during the visit included an F-15 fighter jet flyover, paratroopers descending from the sky, and the launch of a HIMARS missile system. He said, “They just gave me a display that you might be lucky not to see, because it’s a little scary. It was beautiful to watch.”

Also, during the 250th Army birthday celebration, the president commented on the current situation in Los Angeles, to which he is deploying the Marines and guardsmen. Doing so, he slammed the “attacks of a vicious and violent mob.” Further, he hammered what he referred to as an “invasion and Third World lawlessness,” saying he won’t allow LA to be taken by a “foreign enemy.” He added, commenting directly on what the troops are there for, “We will liberate Los Angeles and make it free, clean and safe again.”
