WATCH: Trump Gets a “Hero’s Welcome” During Manhattan Appearance

As Donald Trump has been in New York City fighting the Manhattan hush money case, he has received an outpouring of support from local residents.  Footage of Trump’s public appearances shows massive crowds of supporters cheering on the former president.

Popular conservative X account End Wokeness shared footage of a massive crowd breaking out in a “USA!” chant as Trump walked around greeting people.  New York City has a reputation for being one of the most liberal cities in the country, making it all the more impressive for Trump.  However, this could be a worrying sign for Joe Biden, who previously won the city by a landslide.

Furthermore, reports indicate that Biden was recently booed when visiting Manhattan, a stark contrast to Trump’s “hero’s welcome” he just received.  End Wokeness commented on the video, “I’ve never seen anything like this before. Biden visits Manhattan (a city he won by 75%) and gets booed into oblivion. Trump visits and gets a hero’s welcome.”

Conservative commentator Paul Szypula agreed with End Wokeness, writing in the comments section, “Amazing. The people are speaking with their presence. Regardless of politics they want a better America. And they know they’ll only get that with Trump.”

Furthermore, when visiting with construction and union workers in Manhattan, Trump was welcomed with a ferocious “We love Trump!”.  While the former president can’t be on the campaign trail in other states due to his legal obligations, he can certainly interact with local supporters outside of court proceedings.

The Republican presidential candidate told Fox News how amazing his supporters were in the city.  “I think these maybe were Democrats. But for me, they are Republicans. We built a lot of great buildings in this city with these people. And they’ve given me great support. They’re really amazing,” he said.

Trump added that he was “very close” with Biden in the traditionally liberal state as well as many other swing states, leading him to indicate that he would “make a play” for New York. “We’re very close in New York I understand and we’re leading in the country by a lot. A poll just came out a little while ago, as you saw yesterday, that we have we’re up in every swing state and up by a lot in every swing state so I think we’ll do very well and we’re gonna make a play for New York,” he stated.

During a recent public appearance, the GOP frontrunner sounded off on both the hush money trial and the New York civil fraud case involving Judge Arthur Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James.  Trump maintained his innocence while slamming the legal battles for keeping him off the campaign trail.

“The point here is that the judge had no idea what was happening. This is the same judge that two months ago made a ruling that shook the world. It shook the world. Everyone knows according to that trial, I did nothing wrong,” he said.  Trump continued, “And over here, I did nothing wrong also. This is a Biden witch hunt to keep me off the campaign trail. So far, it’s not working.”
