WATCH: Trump Exposes, Goes Scorched Earth on Fox News RINOs

Speaking during his rally in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, President Donald Trump went scorched earth on the RINOs at Fox News Channel, namely the pollsters that he thinks are doing a bad job with polling so as to present an unduly negative perspective on his administration by not showing what the American people actually think about it.

For reference, this is far from the first time that the president has clashed with Fox News, as his America First sentiments often clash with the neoconservative view of American involvement in the world that is promoted by the cable network, particularly as regards the Russian Federation and its war in Ukraine.

He also clashes with it when it frames him or his administration in what he thinks is an unfairly negative light. Such is what occurred during his mid-December speech in Rocky Mount, during which he argued that the Fox News pollsters are terrible and doing an awful job of reflecting America through polling.

Coming on the heels of his defense of tariffs and his arguments that the Trump tax cuts will reignite the economy as they come into effect in 2026, the president sarcastically remarked, “Let’s do a poll, because you know, these polls just charge you a million dollars to ask a question, then they don’t even, they just write down an answer. They don’t do polls. It’s a total con-job, some of these polls.”

That’s when he got to slamming Fox News and its pollsters, saying that they are “the worst” and totally “fake” in a no-holds-barred takedown of the rotten mainstream media hack. The president said, “One thing I don’t like about Fox is their pollster. Total fake. Their pollsters are the worst.”

Continuing, he noted that the pollsters at Fox News had been unduly pessimistic about his election, which he won handily, saying, “They’ve been saying they’re gonna get rid of them for 10 years. The fake pollster. Then you have the election, you win by numbers that are like through the roof.”

He then said that Fox News has generally been good to him, highlighting a few of the network’s hosts that he likes. “But the Fox, but Fox has been treating me good. They have great people there. Sean Hannity is great. Jesse is great. Laura is great. Greg is great. They’re all great. We have great people,” he said.

At that point, a member of the audience cried out, “What about the corruption over there?” That was seemingly a reference to alleged corruption at Fox News, though what the exact claim was was unclear. Trump asked, in reply, “What, which corruption where?”

Then, after an inaudible reply about corruption from the audience member, the president said, “Oh, yeah. Well, we have to, we have to do that. We’re gonna take care of that. We’re gonna take care of corruption in our country. I mean, I was talking about Fox. I don’t know, he’s talking about corruption. No, it’s okay because he’s on our side, but he’s just a little ahead of me. He’s talking about corruption.”
