Following the controversial guilty verdict from the New York hush money case, former President Donald Trump recently delivered a wide-ranging interview on Fox & Friends Weekend. Trump was asked about his youngest son, Baron, whom he praised.
“What about baron?” Trump was asked. “People started to focus on Baron recently.” The presumptive Republican presidential nominee noted Baron’s exceptional qualities, citing his academic prowess, height, and good looks.
Trump told the Fox News interviewers, “He’s amazing, actually, in a circle here, he’s tall, good looking guys, a very good student, and he’s, he’s applied to colleges and gets into everywhere he goes. You know, he’s very sought after from the standpoint, he’s a very smart guy, he’s very tall guy, but he’s, and he’s, he’s a great kid. He’s, he’s cool, he’s pretty cool.”
Given Trump’s fresh felony. conviction, which many conservatives have decried as a weaponization of the justice system, Trump was asked about how he would handle his power in the executive branch if he is reelected later this year. The former president ultimately maintained that his “revenge will be success” when he mends the brokenness of America.
One of the interviewees asked Trump, “A lot of Democrats have expressed concern that if you’re elected, you’re going to want revenge, and some of your supporters have said, well, you know, mutually you know, when you cut we were just talking about the weaponization of the justice system against political opponents. Some of your supporters have said, well, the only way to stop this is mutually assured destruction, right? If you do it to us, we’re going to do it to you. You’ve said, ‘No, my revenge is going to be success for America’. You’ve just had this verdict. Do you still feel the same?”
Trump then blasted the opposition, which has plagued him with legal battles ahead of the election, adding that they would attack any political figure that stood in their path. He stated, “These are bad people. These people are sick, and they do things that are so destructive… if it weren’t me, they’d be going after somebody else, and I know a lot of the competition. They wouldn’t do so well.”
The GOP frontrunner further emphasized that his “success” in bringing the country together through his Make America Great Again platform will speak for itself. Substantiating his ability to lead the country, Trump pointed out the “successful” state of the country during his first term before the pandemic. However, he highlighted the “evil” opposition that stands in his way. Watch a clip from the interview below:
“Look, it’s a very interesting question, and I say it, and it sounds beautiful, right? You know, my revenge will be success. And I mean that, but it’s awfully hard when you see what they’ve done. These people are so evil, and at the same time, the country can come together, you know, I’m saying this, but the country can come together, you know, during my term. Prior to covid, we had the most successful country we’ve ever had,” he continued.
