Former President Donald Trump recently paid a visit to the Texas border town Eagle Pass, where he gave a powerful speech illustrating the various problems surrounding the Southern Border. As millions of illegal immigrants have crossed the border under the Biden administration, Trump stated the ensuing border crisis is “like a war.”
Trump also called attention to the horrific murder of 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, which has become a prime example of the need for comprehensive border security. The leading GOP candidate noted that Riley’s parents were “devastated” after the brutal murder of their daughter, whom Trump described as “an incredible young lady.”
“The parents are devastated and they’re incredible people,” he said. Trump then assigned blame to President Biden for allowing an “invasion” through the Southern Border to occur. “This is a Joe Biden invasion. A Biden invasion. I call him crooked Joe… the most incompetent president we’ve ever had.”
“A beautiful 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia was barbarically attacked. She was on a morning run… she was a beautiful young woman,” he added. “I spoke to her parents yesterday, they are incredible people. They are devastated beyond belief. She was so beautiful in so many ways.”
Trump further blamed Joe Biden for the illegal immigrant’s presence in America, suggesting that the perpetrator should have never been released into the American interior to eventually go on to commit this heinous crime. “The monster, the charge, charged in the death is an illegal alien migrant who was led into our country and released into our communities by Crooked Joe Biden,” Trump said, noting that he “took the name from Hillary because she’s no longer relevant I guess.”
The former president continued slamming “Crooked Joe” for being what Trump claimed to be the worst president in American history. “I call him Crooked Joe because he’s crooked and he’s a terrible president, the worst president our country has ever had, probably the most incompetent president we’ve ever had,” he continued. “But it’s allowing thousands and thousands of people to come in from China, Iran, Yemen, the Congo, Syria and a lot of other nations.”
Throughout his term, President Biden has received enormous criticism for the rampant illegal immigration flowing over the Southern Border under his watch. The American Tribune recently reported on comments from a Border Patrol union unloading on Joe Biden for his seeming indifference to the border crisis.
Border Patrol Union President Brandon Judd slammed Biden, stating, “Unfortunately, a visit by President Biden three years into his term and after repeatedly stating there is no crisis is too little, too late.” He continued, “Whether stating it himself or through WH Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre, Biden has said he’s done everything he can to secure the border. If that was the truth, and it wasn’t, there would be no point in visiting the border now.”
“Border security should never be about politics, it should always be about the safety and security of this great nation and the American people,” Judd added, arguing that comprehensive border security should be unquestionably prioritized.
