WATCH: Trump Delivers Hilarious Campaign Message on Biden-Harris Economy

Former President Donald Trump recently delivered a hilarious video message asking his supporters to donate to his campaign.  However, the Republican presidential candidate maintained that they should only do so if they could reasonably afford it, as many Americans have been financially strained by the rampant inflation under the Biden-Harris administration.

Sitting at at his desk, the former president said, “Hello, everyone. I only want you to donate to my campaign. If you can afford to. Unfortunately, most of you can’t afford to because Joe Biden is a disaster as the president.”  The popular conservative X account known as “yeahrightgirlhg,” shared the footage with the caption, “LMAOOOO this campaign ad got $20 out of me. this man is a comedian.”

Other social media users in the comments section agreed with the comical nature of Trump’s statement.  One person named Deus wrote, “Bro called us broke in the funniest/least offensive way possible.”  Another person pointed out that Trump’s joke was rooted in truth.  “I’m not sure what’s funnier, his joke or the fact that he’s right,” they said.

Trump’s message about the economic hardship many Americans have endured over the past several years particularly resonated with one individual who commented, “I chipped in $40 at the beginning of the year and haven’t been able to afford to give any more. I am broke. At the end of Trump’s presidency I was sitting pretty on a huge load of cash. Amazing what 4 years of terrible economics can do.”

Another user echoed a similar sentiment, writing, “I was rich as f*ck when this guy was president. Now everyone fighting me tooth and nail. I don’t have any money to give to him but at the same time whatever money I don’t have to give to him is going to make it worse by putting Kamala in office and then I’m really gonna have no $”

Other had a more sobering view of the financial situation plaguing many Americans.  “Believe it or not there are many who live paycheck to paycheck hoping they don’t get an eviction notice or the lights turned off, because they chose food this month over rent or utilities. Funny? Well at least it got you to give $20, that’s more than some have in their pockets,” according to one user.

The American Tribune recently reported on the backlash Kamala Harris has faced after unveiling her economic agenda last week.  In her plan, the vice president railed against corporations for their supposedly “excessive profits,” calling to ban “price gouging.”  However, many have labeled this as a move toward communist price controls that would undermine the free market.

Former President Trump slammed Harris over her plan, stating, “Now Kamala is reportedly proposing communist price controls, she wants price controls,” Trump said. “And if they worked, I’d go along with it, too, but they don’t work. They exactly have the exact opposite impact and effect and it leads to food shortages, rationing, hunger, dramatically more inflation.”

He continued, “She’s running on the Maduro plan. we call it the Maduro plan, like something straight out of Venezuela or the Soviet Union. This announcement is an admission that her economic policies have totally failed, and caused really a catastrophe for our country and beyond that, a catastrophe in the world.”
