WATCH: Trump Calls Out Powerful Democrat Who Allegedly Visited Epstein Island Repeatedly

In a scathing conversation with a reporter, President Trump slammed the Epstein files, calling them a “hoax” run by political adversaries like Comey, Garland, and Biden. He argued that if he was guilty, his opponents would have used the evidence to smear him long ago, and pointed to his massive electoral success.

For context, not only did Trump deny any involvement with Epstein, but he pointed to Bill Clinton, who he alleges went to St. James’ Island 28 times. He also mentions a past dispute with Epstein over hiring his staff, leading to Epstein’s expulsion from Trump’s circle.

In any case, the reporter began the interaction by asking,” Have not been briefed on the Epstein files, but if your name has not appeared in the Epstein files, but doesn’t the AG have to tell you if your name is in the file?”

Responding, Trump noted, “I haven’t been overly interested in it. You know, it’s something. It’s a hoax that’s been built up way beyond proportion. I can say this. Those files were run by the worst scum on Earth. They were run by Comey. They were run by Garland. They were run by Biden.”

Building on this point, he astutely noted, “And all of the people that actually ran the government, including the auto bend. Those piles were run for four years by those people. If they had anything, I assume they would have released it.”

Mentioning a baseless report from the Wall Street Journal, which alleged that Trump sent a hand-drawn card to Epstein, the reporter continued, “How do you feel about the drawing that was a subject of Wall
    Street Journal report?”

Firing back, Donald Trump noted, “I don’t do drawings. I’m not a drawing person. I don’t do drawings. Sometimes you would say, Well, you do a building and I’ll throw four lines and a little roof, you know, for a charity. So, but, but I’m not a drawing person. I don’t do drawings of women that I can tell you, they say there’s a drawing of a woman, and I don’t do drawings of women.”

After an extended aside, where he explained that Epstein tried to poach a member of Trump’s staff, he concluded by saying, “So if they had had something, they would have used it.” Still unsatisfied, the reporter asked, “Can you settle that? What was it about? What caused the breach?”

Answering honestly, the president declared, “That’s such old history, very easy to explain, but I don’t want to waste your time by explaining it. But for years, I wouldn’t talk to Jeffrey Epstein. I wouldn’t talk because he did something that was inappropriate.”

Continuing his thorough denunciation, Trump continued, “And by the way, I never went to the island, and Bill Clinton went there, supposedly, 28 times. I never went to the island, but Larry Summers, I hear, went there. He was the head of Harvard, and many other people that are very big. People.”

Winding down his comments, the president stated, “Nobody ever talks about them. I never had the privilege of going to his island, and I did turn it down, but a lot of people in Palm Beach were invited to his island. In one of my very good moments, I turned it down. I didn’t want to go to his island. What were you asking him?”

Recent comments from Ghislene Mazwell seem to support Trump’s assertions, while she confirmed the friendship between the two men, she minimized their interactions, saying, “I didn’t see President Clinton being interested in Epstein. He was just a rich guy with a plane.”
