Trump administration border czar Tom Homan recently shut down CNN’s Kaitlin Collins during a live interview when discussing the mass deportation agenda currently being carried out. Homan maintained that the administration is prioritizing the detainment of public safety threats, but anyone who is in the country illegally is liable for deportation.
Bringing up leftist criticism of the deportation agenda, Collins said, “What we had heard from immigration advocates is that this is going to provide a chilling effect to parents and the school drop offline or something of that matter.” Homan replied, “It should be a chilling effect. Unless your child is a terrorist or a public safety threat.”
He continued, “If they are a public safety threat and national security threat, they should be chilled. They should be afraid, because we’re looking for them.” Collins said in response, “If their parent is here and they’re an undocumented immigrant, I think was, was more of the argument that they were making.”
Homan pointed out that anyone who broke the law to enter the United States and reside here illegally is liable to be held accountable for their actions. “They’re not off the table either. If you live in the country illegally, they got a problem. I mean, it’s not okay, to enter this country illegally,” he said.
“It’s a crime, and that’s why supposed to be I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I’m in Switzerland illegally,” Homan emphasized. “So we’re going to enforce the laws of this country. So you know, the schools and the churches and sensible location was a policy only for ICE only for immigration, right, but national security threats and public safety, does have no safe haven in this country and we’ll go where we’ve got to go.”
The American Tribune reported on other recent comments from Homan during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity addressing the controversial FBI leaks that allegedly tipped of the Tren de Aragua gang about ICE raids,, Hannity asked him, “Where are these leaks coming from?”
The border czar said, “We think it’s coming from inside. And we know the first leak of Aurora is under current investigation.” He further noted, “We think we identified that person. Commenting on another leak, he said, “Under investigation right now the California leak … Secretary Noem, she’s correct of some of the information we’re receiving tends to lead toward the FBI.”

“But I talked to Deputy Attorney General all this weekend,” he added before highlighting possible legal repercussions. “They’ve opened up a criminal investigation, and they have promised that not only this person lose their job and lose your pension, they will go to jail, they’re going to criminally prosecute.”
“So we’re all over it,” Homan asserted. “We got the DHS, IG investigating the first one. Have a pretty good idea of what happened. Can’t show him off his under investigation. But the IG don’t know investigation. Second, we’re sending a strong message. It’s just not you know, given the bad guys a heads up to the escape, apprehension, arresting, given no Venezuela gang heads up so we can’t arrest them,” he added.
